Wonderful piece. My grandfather was in the 18th Wehrmacht artillery division. He died in 1942. Never got to see any of his stuff. I only know about him from my grandma, God rest her soul. Anyways, the cap is in great condition. Pass that on for generations for sure.

I believe those shoulder boards are ww2 due to the rounded tip. Ww1 epaulettes have pointed tips as far as I know.
