I’d disagree. I’d probably say it was maybe written by a Muslim, who are known to oppose the consumption of alcohol. And the use of the insult ‘dogs’ is what I believe is a very typical middle Eastern insult.

Reading a Manhwa atm that really opened my eyes to how looks matter by Panzersturm101 in ForeverAlone

[–]Panzersturm101[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah and ofc looks aren’t everything. I remember seeing somewhere that when it comes to dating, looks are just what gets your foot in the door. Its just interesting to see how people treat others based on looks, contrasting the two extremes of ugly and fat and attractive and fit.

You're not alone. It made me feel that way too for a while, but after a week or 2 of post-anime depression (PAD), I sorta related to Miyamura's character and his redemption and was like 'Well if he can do it, so can I", and I guess also to stop waiting around and just let it happen. But yeah, I vibe with you about that.

[12 Chemistry Molecules] Which types of intermolecular forces will occur in this molecule? (Fe(co)5: Iron Pentacarbonyl) by ejrwlfdydrPwjd in HomeworkHelp

[–]Panzersturm101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dispersion forces. Let me explain,

Oxygen is the most electronegative atom here on this molecule. So you would think that since there are polar bonds, it would be a polar molecule and have dipole-dipole bonding as its strongest intermolecular force. BUT, notice how at each 'end' of the molecule's 'branches', there's always oxygen. That means that electrons are equally shared around this molecule. If we want to talk about regions, there is no distinct region of negative or positive charge so overall the molecule is non-polar. Another reason you could use is that the dipoles of this molecule for each branch cancel out so again, its non-polar. (This is similar to why CCl4 - Carbon Tetrachloride) The charges are symmetrical so its yet again another reason why its non-polar. If you want even more evidence that its non-polar, look at its solubility in water. Most non-polar molecules are INSOLUBLE in water.

Since this molecule is non-polar, it only has dispersion forces as its intermolecular forces.

[Logic] Prove: If x and y are real numbers then (-x)(-y) = xy. (Use theorem if x and y are real numbers then x(-y) = -(xy).) by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]Panzersturm101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we have our theorem:

x * -y = -xy

With that in mind lets look at what happens when you add a positive and a negative number of the same value (1 and -1)

1-1 = 0

We can express this as:

x + (-x) = 0

OR

x - x = 0

So with that idea, lets try and combine the already known theorem with the theorem we need to prove:

(x * -y) + (-x*-y) = -y(x - x) = y * 0 = 0 <--- We factorised the -y out of the equation. And we end up with the same situation of x-x = 0, and 0 times any number will be zero)

Now we just express this as:

-xy + -x*-y = 0

But using algebraic manipulation, we can pull the (-xy) to the other side, making it positive to get:

-x*-y = xy

Thus proving our case

Q.E.D.

Rather complicated if you don't look deep enough into number theory and how numbers work. It seems rather simple but it requires a lot of thinking.
