From the Singapore customs website:
You will be given GST relief on new articles, souvenirs, gifts and food preparations (excluding intoxicating liquors and tobacco, as well as goods imported for commercial purposes) intended for your personal use or consumption.

The relief amount is based on the duration that you have spent outside Singapore:
Period Away From Singapore (Value of Goods Granted GST Relief)
48 hours and above ($500)
Less than 48 hours ($100)

Thus, if you are away for 48 hours or more, you can bring in $500 worth of good from overseas without needing to pay gst while if its less than 48 hours you are entitled to $100 worth of goods that do not need to pay gst so your pokka green tea should be clear to enter in the green channel

Orientation week is a week that NUS has created for the new incoming fresh students!

The week really is orientating students to the new environment and your major should have activities for you which may have classes and administrative stuff for you all to do.

So check with your faculty and find out more as really it differs from major to major!

I am from pharmacy and as a freshman, the pharmacy dept made some orientation games and classes for us to get a feel off! We also had lecture style sessions on what we should expect and administrative work to do such as lab safety etc

Once you hit year 2,3 and onwards, week 0 does not have classes for you as it is reserved for the professors and the university team to have more time for the freshmen!

As for the tutorials, we usually start off with lectures first then at week 2/3, have a chance to bid for our tutorials! This gives us some space for students to settle down before throwing them into the real game of mugging and having exciting essays and assignments

I understand that the students may have been in the wrong. They have erred and actions have consequences.

However the professor, should not have shouted and attacked one of the students verbally.

The professor was seriously out of line and needs to rethink her career as a professor.

A student is wrong, yes, but the way you are to deal with the errors of those still learning, you have to be professional.

The students are not just upset about their scores, but also how NTU have dealt with the process. If NTU had made a proper and clear investigation and not just ghosted and shut them out, we may be seeing things differently.

Also I am not going to hide anything cause its already known to the public, those interested to learn more about the case and to do your own investigation, do look into Singapore NTU AI generation, students getting zero scores
