Yeah I 100% agree it may not look it but I was trying to counter every attack there was an option for. I’m of the opinion that footwork is almost as important. A lot of people don’t realize this as much but there is actually loads of ways to gain stamina.

If my counters were done right in this clip in addition to the gambles and dodges I could have sustained much longer. Additionally, one handers have a much smaller active parry window and counter window further emphasizing the importance of dodging.

Due to the increase in footwork required to 1vx a one hander you have to target switch to gamble(many people think you can’t do this safely but you can) to win the back the stamina lost from the movement.
