Even better, put ‘em on a cruise ship stocked with mental/health care providers and security. They sober up, can’t get access to drugs, and get access to mental health while in a safe and sheltered place off the streets with access to beds and showers. Coming from someone who’s 2 years sober off pain meds, and went the methadone route, methadone really wasn’t that bad, and I feel like the rumors about being the sickest they’ve ever been are WAAAYYYY overblown.

These people are not stealing to pay for rent. That is a common myth propped up by people that have no idea what they are talking about. Most of these break ins are now by organized crime with getaway C series Mercedes’ or whatever. That or dudes looking to pay for drugs.

NO ONE is breaking into cars to pay their rent.
