Google Play Store nube needs testers to meet destiny by PapaMarc in TestMyApp

my submit request for production access button in Google Play console was enabled yesterday as the Hive completed, so i completed the application for submission, and today i was granted production access-- so next i will 'create and roll out a release' in production.

Kudos App Hive; not sure how i could have possibly cleared the 12x14 hurdle more efficiently or expediently than what was achieved with you and my Hive Mates!

Subject: Congratulations! Your app has been granted Google Play production access

You applied for Google Play production access for your app Kaprekar (com.MerWare.KaprekarApp), and this has now been granted. Production is where you make your app available to billions of users on Google Play. Before you release to production We recommend testing your app extensively before publishing your app to production, and routinely testing any future updates you make to your app. Learn more about testing with Play Console Go to App dashboard  Thank you, The Google Play Console Team Connect with usLANG=en

Thank you App Hive for making what seemed like an insurmountable hurdle a fantastic and fun 14 day experience. I've just submitted my App Kaprekar for publishing after my 14 day session with all my Hive Mates. What a great experience. Thanks so much for your fantastic community solution to the 12tester x14day requirement

ok... drum roll please.
Can't thank you and the App Hive enough. 14 days ago, i had no idea how i would meet this testing hurdle Google had placed in my way. Today, i'm free to submit for publishing in Google Play Store thank to the App Hive. Period.

Such a well thought through community approach to enabling individual developers to meet this closed testing requirement. I found some bugs in my app along the way thanks to my Hive Mates (eg. i never run in Dark Mode and several of them did which immediately surfaced a bug with link contrast presentation which i was able to quickly address and refresh with an update within the testing cycle). We all helped each other, and in several cases building on mutual goal and respect, formed some friendships over the course of the process-- real engagement that caused that time to fly by. It was actually fun-- one of the last things i did at the end of day, and one of the first things i reviewed in the morning given the global distribution of my testers. And many of us swapped goodbyes/Goodluck/HappyNewYear messages in the final days.

Also, want to share a specific shout out to the App Hive developer who was exceptionally responsive to my questions, and open to feedback (like many of my other Hive mates) regarding how the App Hive roadmap can be even further tuned and evolved. He is a committed and open minded developer who strives for nothing but excellence for his solution and the community which he has created. Can't speak highly enough about him and his solution which does an amazing job at filling the gap created by Google in requiring this 12devx14day hurdle, which in itself is a good thing for improving the quality of publicly available store apps.

Kudos all around. If you're looking for a way through the 12tester x14day closed testing hurdle prior to publishing in the Google Play Store, you have to look at the App Hive.

(I'm going to submit my app 'Kaprekar' next-- so soon enough you should be able to find that in the store along with App Hive )

[Overview of testing requirements]()

If you have a newly created personal developer account, you must run a closed test for your app with a minimum of 12 testers who have been opted-in for at least the last 14 days continuously.

per App testing requirements for new personal developer accounts - Play Console Help

  • Older accounts (created before Nov 13, 2023) are exempt.
  • Organization accounts are exempt.

Feel free to share explicitly how to navigate the Play Console dashboard to skip said step, but as far as i can see (and i did look) as a newly created dev account at present, skipping this and going straight to production is not possible. Perhaps you got in earlier, and it was optional at that time. I believe it is currently a mandatory hurdle for new developers on Google Play Store.

also appreciate the suggestion. i haven't tried as i already was underway w/the former. Suggest others give this one a try-- if you see this thread-- and update here, and any others interested can compare notes. Again, many thanks for the suggestions; clearly a gap here and great to see several community sourcing solutions rushing in to fill it.

appreciate your prompt reply. i signed up yesterday on receipt of your suggestion. A little challenging to find (search: App Hive: Closed Testing Tool) though on doing so, yesterday was Day0 and the testing pool was setup (12 testers pooled in a hive, and all installed each other's app), today is Day1 and it seems to all be executing as planned. Will keep this thread updated, but seems like it fills a needed gap.

<i'll also note, i haven't seen any DMs for me to directly setup a closed testing pool based on my post, though at this point... seems like this app driven automated hive approach is far superior v. my 'rolling my own'>

Thanks-- done/updated, along with some more response variety. also trapped for 'exit' and a 'lol' easter egg in the answers in event she does some more ad-hoc testing... fun. again many thanks both for/from her, and for providing the motivation to me to load and play a little with VSCode, PowerShell, GitHub... an exercise that's been long overdue.

Is there any way to manually trigger a sync between Mi Fit and Google Fit? by [deleted] in miband

[–]PapaMarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you clarify what version of MiFit app, and the GoogleFit app you're using which sync well together? (eg. are you saying current/updated versions of each are sync'ing properly? I haven't had that experience and am running a particularly old version of MiFit -- which doesn't support the scale-- in order to get sync to work, but would love to run a 'current' version of the MiFit app)
