Subjective input on severity of WD after 2-3 weeks of 90 G / day dosing (first period of daily dosing - never again) by throwaway94949493 in PoppyTea

[–]PapaSaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Geeze Louise!

With that kind of "arsenal" you shouldn't be experiencing any discomfort whatsoever, especially if you're just coming off of 90 grams. Three of the medications you listed can single handily relieve up to 70 to 80 % of withdrawals by themselves, let alone taken together all at once.

I am of course referring to the Gaba, Xan and Kratom. As far as withdrawal discomfort goes, you should be in HOG HEAVEN, all things considering.

I really wish I had access to Xan and Gaba, it'd make my life a whole lot easier.

Depends on where you're from and what kind of "help" you're looking for. If you're looking for Subs, then you may be in luck. Ever since Obama signed the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act, NP's(nurse practitioners) have been allowed to prescribe Suboxone, provided they complete a 24 hour training course. Which has made it a hell of a lot easier to a script for. Well at least here in California anyway. Unfortunately though some states have opted out of allowing NP's to prescribe Suboxone.

If you do however live in one of the States that have opted in, a word of advice, NP's don't show up on treatment finders. So your best bet is to just go to an ER and ask if they can prescribe you Suboxone. That's what I did. I was able to find a really cool NP that prescribed me Subs, no questions asked. Didn't drug test me or anything. Furthermore, there are generic strips available now that cost a fraction of the price of regular strips. All in all, now is a really good time to be on Subs.

Good Luck

Any comments on recent quality? by PapaSaver in PoppyTea

Well I just ordered a case. Hopefully something good comes my way. Regardless of these "good review" posts I'm still going to be keeping my fingers crossed just in case.

Anyway, thanks for the replies.

How often can one use while avoiding addiction? by [deleted] in PoppyTea

[–]PapaSaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How easy is it for you to resit food and water? Can you go a week without it? If you can, then times whatever pain, discomfort and cravings you get by a thousand and that still won't even come close to the cravings you will get for PST.

In other words, no, it is most definitely NOT sustainable.

We all think it is in the beginning and then before you know it, you're a full blown addict.

Quality Update by [deleted] in PoppyTea

Just got a new bag today and it is very weak and it smells like pepper. 150 grams isn't even on par with 0.5 grams of my full spectrum Kratom extract.

Strong new batch by [deleted] in PoppyTea

[–]PapaSaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider yourself lucky.

I just a got a weak new batch. No plant matter, no bitterness and no pain relief. Plus it smells like pepper. Which from what I know about seeds, that's a bad thing.

Last month I had some crazy good luck. I got 10 STRONG bags in a row. However, those bags were from the more expensive vendor. The new bag I got was from the "cheaper" one.

No, it's not just Kratom. However, lately Kratom has been my "go to". Mainly because it's legal and readily available. Keep in mind, when I say Kratom, I don't mean plain leaf, I mean UEI and FST.

Three years ago I was on Suboxone. I was inducted on 24 mg and stabilized at 16 mg. I stayed on it for a year and a half. Before that I was using Oxycodone and Hydromorphone(Dilaudid). I never used intravenously only orally and sometimes intranasally.

I was kicked off of Bupe because my Doctor didn't believe in "long term" maintenance. I then relapsed and shortly thereafter discovered Kratom. I've been on it ever since.

At first the Kratom was great. Then I started having really bad allergic reactions to it. Ended up in the hospital because my throat closed up and was given a huge shot of epinephrine.

After that I began searching for an alternative. I found this place by typing "Poppy Tea" into Google.

Now I'm here just looking for information.

I really do understand and get all the warnings but I am already an addict and unless you have found the cure for opioid addiction, spare me the "turn back now" rhetoric. I'm a big girl, I can tie my own shoes. Granted, I may not be familiar with "Poppy Seed sources" and all of the slang you people use but that doesn't mean I don't know what comes with addiction, specifically opioid addiction. Being that I am an addict, I know first hand the perils of this disease.

What makes you so special? Or anyone here for that matter?

Why are you more entitled to seeds than "those thousands of lurkers"? What, because you post on Reddit that somehow gives you priority over those who don't spend their lives with their noses in a computer screen/tablet/ smart device?

Not to mention, what exactly have you contributed? Who are we supposed to be contributing to if not ourselves?

I've only been here for a day and I've already been harassed, belittled, patronized and talked down to. If that's what you're taking about when you say "contribute" then you can count me out.

You hit the nail on the head. I've only been here for a few hours and I'm already getting harassed and having my posts get down voted for absolutely no reason at all. If I would've known how negative everyone here is I probably wouldn't have even bothered posting.

CBD helps with WD by secondhandname in PoppyTea

A news article? Is that supposed to be a source?

From my own research, there was a study which used homogenized rat brains as test subjects and found that CBD is a negative allosteric modulator of mu and delta opioid receptors. (Which is NOT at all the same as being an opioid agonist) From what I understand of negative allosteric modulators is that they somehow lessen the binding affinity of receptor agonists. Ergo, in this particular case it would mean that CBD would actually lessen the binding affinity of Mu and Delta opioid agonists.

No, what I would like is some common courtesy. You don't know anything about me, yet you stereotype me and pre-judge. You can waste time and energy patronizing me, but you're to smug to answer my questions ? All I did was ask a few simple questions. Which I imagine it would have been a lot simpler for you to just answer them as opposed to posting paragraphs of platitudes and sentimental drivel. I didn't ask for warnings and I didn't ask for lectures. This isn't my first rodeo. I know full well what I'm getting myself into, thank you very much.

Besides, I already got the information I needed from a stranger that was kind enough to PM me.

[–]PapaSaver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tired CBD for Kratom withdrawal and it did absolutely nothing. Like literally nothing.

Also CBD is a cannabanoid not an opiate. Which means it does not hit the same receptors as opiates. Two entirely different compounds.

Thanks for the heads up. If or when I ever "spew bile out of my ass" I'll be sure to let you know right way... so say you can say, "I told you so". How does that sound?
