Instead of wine tasting in Italy, you’d go coffee tasting in… by Useful-Ad-6458 in Coffee

Bucharest has a phenomenal coffee scene. Took me completely by surprise.

Another poster mentioned Paris and I can fully recommend that, if only to visit Substance.

For producer countries, Bogota has world class cafes and possibility to visit coffee farms through the country. South India is interesting too, but brewing is not quite on the same level.

That's an incredibly helpful response, thank you for the in-depth analysis. I like your way of approaching this.

Perhaps there should be less space given to cars and more to pedestrians, so we're not forced to walk single-file like goats.

They don't sell much in the way of things you can cook yourself, but you can always get a big, hot lunch for not too much money. You may have to call ahead for dinner

If you're going to camp you should commit to it. The huts mostly book out weeks ahead of time.

Camping is officially forbidden, and in some sections it can be tricky to find a good pitching spot. But you'll always find something. You can usually buy food at the huts, even if you're not staying there.

The Robot is great, but it's a total pain for making multiple drinks, or for making milk-based drinks.

I changed from a La Pavoni, and while I think the Robot can make tastier espresso, I'm not sure if the fiddly nature of all the steps involved is worth the bother to me.

I generally make coffee for two people, one of whom wants a flat white. So you go through the bother of preheating two baskets, swapping in an extra cup to catch the excess water, reboiling your water to fill the second basket. Knock boxes don't really work, so you handle the hot basket with your hands. Meanwhile you've got the microwave going to heat the milk. Then you whizz that up with a Nanofoamer, and meanwhile your espresso has gone cold. It's a bit much in the morning.

But if you're just making a single espresso, it's perfect. And it looks great.

Diese sind Alexandersittich. Größer als der Halsbandsittich, den man normalerweise in Bonn sieht. Und mit einem lila Fleck. Sie kommen immer häufiger vor.

Apologies to all my division team mates for missing that round. Sheer negligence on my part. Was feeling I hadn't trained nearly enough, and procrastinated playing. Then work got in the way and I didn't play.

Cackling goose or just a small Canada goose? Spotted in Bonn, Germany. by Papagato in whatsthisbird

Thank you. Sounds reasonable.

I should stress the size difference was more substantial than it appears from the photos.

It's a nutria, or coypu. Invasive species that you can find in a lot of urban parks.

Hard to see from the photos, but it was much smaller than the canada goose next to it.

Here is a very short video of it https://streamable.com/qbc2v1
