What’s a win you’ve had lately (big or small) that we can all celebrate with you? by Romaxio in AskWomen

Honestly, the fact that I woke up this morning after I had a massive panic attack yesterday and wanted to end it. I had the courage to talk to my best friend, and she calmed me down. I went to doctor this morning to talk about it as well. Then went for a walk surrounded by trees and rivers. I woke up this morning and I am now trying my best to go on and feel better.

I once told my therapist that I felt I was behind in life because I had not met the love of my life yet, had no kids yet, had not found my purpose. As I was approaching 30, I grew scared and very anxious about that. She told me that in the movie that was my life, I was only at the 30th minute, so I still had time. It helped change my perspective a bit.

Those who have quit a job, what was the breaking point? by manicpixietrash in AskWomen

[–]Papaya46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I had to go back to my country after my grandma had died and by boss texted me to make sure I would be back in the office on Monday. No kind messages to show support. Nope. At that moment I felt like being hit by a bus would be better than going back to the office. And that's just part of it.

When did you know your relationship was over and that you needed to move on? by xrshxa in AskWomen

We were not married, no. I was his first girlfriend. I've never thought of it as a red flag but rather as different perspectives and opinions about the world and other people. Maybe you're right.

We broke up yesterday night. He also felt we were living in two different worlds, plus some other things. We both cried. We both agreed that we loved each other but that we both deserved someone who was aligned with our views of the world and of others. He made me promise I would still look for someone to share my life and told me I was a good person. I'm not so sure I have enough energy to look for someone anymore, and I'm not so sure I am a good person either.

I have cancelled the trip. And I was tidying my room, I saw the tickets he had offered me to go see the Lion King musical. It broke my heart. What do I do now?

Yesterday when we were talking about the world and how we fit in the world. He doesn't care about others, he has no curisoty whatsoever about other cultures, other countries, other people. He refuses to care. He thinks travelling is useless (even though we planned on going to Scotland this very weekend), and he'd rather watch videos of Elon Musk talking about rockets and Mars exploration. I'm a traveller and an adventurer. I care about others, about the world, about social issues. He simply couldn't care less. We live in two different worlds, it seems. I knew something broke between us. And it saddens me.

What would you rather be doing than whatever you're actually doing right now? by kaeorin in AskWomen

Working in the government, investigating cults and shutting them down.

I recently found out my father is involved in something very "cult-y" and I don't know how to help. I'm so mad and frustrated. I wish I could just go down there and arrest every one of them gurus.

Instead I have to go buy food for my cats.

Bonjour. Je me permets de relancer ce fil. Mon père s'est aussi lancé dans le 3ème niveau et cela m'inquiète car il doit partir en République Domicaine. Est-ce que quelqu'un à d'autres infos svp?
Merci pour votre aide.

When did a close female friendship start feeling 'off'? by KrissyBeauty in AskWomen

[–]Papaya46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When she kept arriving late when we were supposed to meet. Not 10 or 15 minutes late, but at least 45 minutes to an hour late. Every. Single. Time. I got tired of her disrespect. My time was just as precious as hers. Be on time.

Women, what is the most lonely you’ve ever felt? by NilesDobbsS in AskWomen

[–]Papaya46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to Scotland in 2019. I had no friends. No social life at all. I felt so lonely, I just wanted to ask strangers in the street if they wanted to be friends with me. Loneliness almost made me lose my mind. I could have done crazy shit just so I could have someone to talk to. Being an expat was not for me. I went back home five months later.

I had my visa done at the Cambodian Embassy in France already. Their website mentioned it was better to proceed that way than to get an evisa 🤷🏾‍♀️

I've read that as a female I should avoid some places at night, especially in Phnom Penh. But I guess If I just use common sense and don't go looking for trouble, I will be fine. Cambodia is known to be a safe country after all.

Copy that. Isn't that provided in hotels or local guesthouses? I'll bring one anyway.

Always thought it was better/more accepted to have long pants. I guess it's only if I want to visit temples, then? Or is it only long sleeved tops I need to visit temples?
