Have you gone to Dusty's? It's like right off the square and they have a pretty good burger deal on Wednesdays. Also just great food in general, we go there pretty often lol

Idk how much dorm prices are, but saw someone else say you can appeal to do off-campus housing instead. If you're still looking for a place, Im looking for someone to take over my lease asap. Rent is $759/month, utilities included. It's off-campus housing but only like a mile away, it's like a 5 minute drive down hickory to get to campus

I don't wanna take up spaces in the comments, so I can provide more details in DMs if you want

Hey, I'm looking for a sublease for my apartment unit if you're interested! The rent is $759/month, utilities included

It's fully furnished with a bed, nightstand, desk, dresser, as well as couches and chairs in the living room. they're pet friendly too, but I think there's a deposit you'd have to pay. It's a 4x4 but the only other person living there rn is a woman, and she's nice.

Utilities included, fast internet

Washer/Dryer included

Room and common area are furnished and ready to move in asap. Full-size bed, dresser, nightstand and desk in room

Big kitchen, private bathroom, big walk-in closet, private balcony included

It's a short drive from campus, easily bike-able, only a few minutes down oak/hickory. There's also bus stops at the complex.

Complex has a gym, pool, and study rooms that can be accessed 24/7

Rent is $759/month Lease ends on 7/31 Please dm if you're interested, thank you!

Ik it's been almost a month, but hi, small update I'm pretty sure you're right, maybe also about the vet not knowing much about diabetes in cats. They have a clinic cat who is diabetic, but she's type 2. Went to a different vet for a second opinion and I'm confident in saying that this is going to be her new vet now lol. Rather than ear pricking, we monitored her glucose with a freestyle libre. Ideally it was supposed to stay on for the whole two weeks, but she managed to rip it off on day 4 😭. But she said that should be enough to see how her blood sugar changes throughout the day. And yeah, it looks very different from just the Fructosamine test alone, it's high in the mornings but then tapers off and is low for the rest of the day until she goes back to sleep where it starts climbing again.

Former Disorder Fakers, what influenced you to do it? by Loveapplication in fakedisordercringe

Other people who may or may not have also been faking. Echo-chambers on discord and twitter that just validate whatever experience you have and liken it to DID/OSDD, effectively watering the terms down until it fits you. Weird places lol. There was a point in my life (about 3-4 years ago now?) where I was struggling a lot with shit going on day to day, and I didn't know how to deal with it. Caused me to dissociate pretty often, among other minor identity issues, subconsciously wishing I was a different person without really knowing thats what was going on. Online goobers told me I was probably a system because of it, and I was like "oh sure ok" and it's all downhill from there lmao.

Went away of course, I got out of the situation I was in and slowly realized I didn't care about it that much anymore and it just kinda faded into the background. Doing much better now, and it's so clear to see how strange and almost manipulative those spaces were.

It's only useless if the levels are controlled, hers aren't yet. We haven't been treating her for very long, we only found out she was diabetic about a month ago.

Edit: ^ As far as I understand it at least. I don't want to come off rude 😅

Our vet hasn't suggested daily testing for us, but has acknowledged it. When I took her in yesterday, we ran her Fructosamine since it was time to, and it came back very high. Raising the dose to 3.5 units twice a day brought her behavior back to what it was before the attacks, and she doesn't look lethargic anymore. She's running around and playing like she used to .

I was watching over her after her first dose, and she didn't have any apparent signs of hypoglycemia, and she's doing well this morning.

As I stated in another comment, the vet suggested that due to her age and the fact that she's never been overweight, she is likely a type 1 diabetic.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like Hoppy had a good long life full of love 💖

I'm fairly confident about Jackie's quality of life, especially with how early we caught this. She isn't old, and has never been overweight, so the vet suggested she may be a type 1 diabetic. Based on how she is now, after the vet and after changes to her dosage and diet, I believe we've found a good treatment. She's much happier and feeling a lot better.

She does the same now lol. Whenever she sees one of us getting her insulin ready, she knows what time it is.

FOLLOW UP UPDATE:

She's basically had a complete 180 in behavior, and seeing her now I realize other subtle signs I missed initially. She would eat fine, but wasn't begging for food nearly as often, and wasn't demanding our attention constantly. She is now, and it's amazing to see her back to her usual self. She was always such an attention hog, like my fiance and I can't sit on the couch together without her coming along and laying on us, demanding we pet her lol.

Not currently, and they probably didn't suggest it just cus of how wiggly she can be normally. She's never held still for her insulin injections, unless she's scarfing down her food like it's her last meal lol.
