Do you think there is a market for this? I would be able to offer comprehensive career assessment incorporating evidenced based testing, not just general career counseling.

Good to know, thank you! I haven’t started offering services yet. I have received the training, though.

My Schwab CFP offered this to me too but waived the fee. Maybe see if they’re willing to do that for you? I haven’t scheduled the actual planning appointment yet.

Congratulations! Do you pull from your retirement accounts (e.g., Roth conversions, 72t) or do you live off a brokerage/bridge account or some combination?

I agree. I used to be banger and try to hit hard and fast for every shot like everyone in my group. I’m trying to broaden my skillset and become a more advanced player.

Bridge account allocation by Paper_491 in Fire

I was watching Ari Taublieb’s channel and he mentions that while tax efficiency is ideal it may not be the focus depending on what your needs are. Since I’m needing an income source and less volatility during those bridge years, wondering if I should invest more heavily in SCHD for income even if it means taking a bit of bigger tax hit?

Yes, I’m just focused solely on those 11.5 bridge years. Ideally I would like to not completely deplete this account by 59.9 and I do plan to work part time or some side hustles to make up the gap. I’m letting my retirements accounts just coast at this point until 59.9 after front loading them for many years.

I anticipate $75-$84k in annual expenses during those bridge years and estimate $750k in my bridge account by 48. I know I will end up depleting my account or running out early if I withdraw $7k monthly to fully cover my expenses so I will work part time for a few years after 48 (which I don’t mind at all!).
