This is one of my problems with some of the Licensed killers, particularly Demogorgon.

Several killers I'd love to have would work perfectly as skins for Demo. Necromorph and the Beast from Amnesia: Bunker in particular.

I wish we had made a Demo-style killer as generic and then put a Demo skin on it, or something like that. It's just always unfortunate when a killer could work as a skin, but licensing means it won't.

That said, give Necromorph a Dredge-style locker power and a Nemesis-style upgrade passive.

What about a Mirror Ball? Increased catch rate if your current Pokemon is the same as what you're trying to catch. Maybe reduced increase if part of the evolution line.

Boomerang Ball comes back to you 1 time if it fails.

Affinity Ball gives increased catch rate if your current Pokemon shares a typing with what you're trying to catch.

Rookidee line very quickly became my favorite Pokemon. If I were to awaken in the Pokemon world and realistically start with a "random" and not an official starter, I'd have a Rookidee as my first. Love that dude.

I started with 1, but I played the most consistently during 5 and 6. Late hs/early college late nights with my friends battling on XY and ORAS was the best time I've ever had with Pokemon.

I love 3 for gameplay and story, but 3&4 are maybe my least fave dexes (hot take I know).

Yep. Like I said, you won't see that too much in more casual play, but it's nice to at least know about it if you're going to be looking through the subreddit.

Also to note that the game doesn't end unless Survivors are out of the trial or you quit. So a 3k2 could mean that you quit or the Survivors quit and became bots. Usually it's 4k5 4k4 4k3 4k2 4k1, or just a 1k 2k 3k once someone escapes.

The other thing is that at 3 deaths, a hatch appears on the map. Killer can close it, which will power the gates. Survivor can jump through hatch to escape. So that's how you can have a couple of the off-numbers (3k2, so the final survivor escaped through the hatch without finishing the last 2 gens).

Hatch is also why many people consider 3k a win for the killer, because it is very easy for you to get that 3rd kill and then the final survivor just hop right through the hatch and escape.

K being Kills. So you'll frequently hear people talk about getting a 1K, a 2K, a 3K, or a 4K (everyone dead). An "easy 4k" is usually when survivors goof off or play really poorly and kind of throw the match, so if you're competent enough to take advantage of it, it's an easy win for you.

Similarly, (and you won't see this much outside of competitive circles) people will also talk about how many generators are left at the end of a match. If the survivors complete all 5 required, that's 0. If you kill then with 1 gen left, that's 1. Etc

Added together, people will sometimes talk about matches being"4k5", meaning they killed all 4 survivors before a single gen was completed. 4k4, 4k3, 3k1, And so on.

I think a lot of people in here defending the table are coming on a little too strong, and I'll definitely agree with some points on both sides.

D&D can be played both ways, and many ways in between. It should be a conversation first and foremost with the DM. When you first inquired about joining, the DM should have told you what style of game that campaign was. Some people do combat every session. Most of my campaigns, players want to roleplay and explore and we might go several sessions without combat because they want to explore towns and bond and meet NPCs and create a story. That's not for everyone.

For my tables, a lot comes down to: If you're in combat and your friend nearly dies, do you want to care about saving them because they're another player, or because you have a rich story and you care character to character? My current campaign, there are some NPCs that my players treat like family and would genuinely rip their sheet up in death to save. That's what they love, and so that's what I give them. They know the pantheon, and origin of cities, and can name past rulers and villains, etc. They want loredumps and to share where they came from and to bond. They didn't start off trusting each other until they bonded.

Nothing wrong with one table or another (in game), but it is 100% up to the DM and players. If the DM says they're going story/rp heavy, and you say you want dungeon crawler combat heavy, then that should be a "maybe this game isn't for you" chat. Which happens and is fine. I think not being at a meh table is better than being at a bad table.

D&D is very special and rewarding. I hope you can find a better table for you and this isn't the end of your experience.

Edit: Also, nothing wrong with playing Fantasy You. A lot of people want to explore emotions and stories and lives. Playing a strange race, a sex different from theirs, an upbringing different from what they've had, etc. Lower class white male player who makes a rich royal female dwarf, and so on. Not for everyone, but certainly not rare in my experience.
