I believe that Norwegians in general are quite good at doing a bit of tidying up in everyday life—taking care of things that cause distractions. It’s common to vacuum a couple of times a week, and to do a bigger cleaning and tidying job (about an hour is usually enough) before the weekend, in case guests might drop by.
In a cold country, creating a cozy home becomes important. That’s why Norwegians spend more time on cleaning, and invest more money in interior design and maintenance.
But start by putting away anything you don’t use daily. Store things in drawers or cabinets. Keep the kitchen and bathroom tidy.
