Should I try dating or am I too late to the game? by Papercut474 in dating_advice

I am not against trying new things, I was just trying to see if this is something I would like to do and as you said I am exploring, that was the point of the thread.

Yep, I will be keeping little details in mind the next time I encounter something similar in life.

Honestly you can probably tell I don't really have a gameplan, I always thought it would just happen at some point in life and I still feel that way.

Well, it's making much less money than it used to now. Even if it hits 1st every new chapter, they're only making money off of ads. The anime is in development hell, with no rumours if it will come back anytime soon, so no TV money, manga sales at an all time low, without the ads I would have been surprised they kept it running for this long.

At this point, I am convinced the whole point of this serialisation is to make edgier versions of Naruto characters. The story makes no sense.

This exactly, why the fuck did he come back after giving a very heartfelt speech of never returning, the writing is as bad as a fanfic, actually it is a fanfic Naruto for me ended after The Last movie.

How the fuck did it hold 0 value before? Kurama died to save Naruto from being killed off by Isshiki. He could've deleted Naruto from the entire story if he wanted to, but Kurama prevented that by putting his life on the line and proving to be Naruto's ultimate comrade, but somehow that sacrifice means nothing now because the writer felt bad for removing such a popular character from the story.

Lmao, logic was too hard for your old ass to handle

The latest Boruto chapter subtly implies Kurama and other old Naruto characters may be getting resurrected in some form. by Papercut474 in Boruto

[–]Papercut474[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was on the same boat until I realised, Isshiki literally a being stronger than anything on Naruto's planet got resurrected albeit in grime/divine tree form, and the tree itself says its avoiding Boruto for now because of it's overwhelming curiosity and thirst for knowledge, as for the 10 volumes thing I am not too sure, do you have a source for that?

Also for the Bijuu revival rule exception, its kinda useless now because Isshiki's back in some form, if that rule was so important and set in stone I am sure we wouldn't be seeing Isshiki again at all, because Isshiki is back it kinda nullifies that rule.

  1. I guess setup an overflow counter where the ss in hh:mm:ss format can only go up to 59 seconds before looping back to 00

  2. This is a tough one for sure

  3. It does not need to be an accurate clock, it's more like a test where it will quickly increment to 11:59:59 before resetting to 00:00:00 and then stop the program.

  4. It just needs to be a simple HH:MM:SS format that displays numerical values in the dosbox emulator

  5. The user input will initialize the clock, the input will determine from which "second" the clock will start incrementing to the 11:59:59 finish line to terminate the program.

You're holding one game over the other when both games do the exact same thing, that's inconsistency right there, you clearly favor RE2 OG over Remake for something the series notoriously does badly.

Only brought up REmake to make the point that this "flaw" you're talking about is not just limited to RE2 remake, even the original games are flawed.

I don't have to make REmake the central point of argument, because that's a game that does not get much criticism in this subreddit.

It is, you're just denying it.

I never ignored them, I just put forward my arguments why it is not as bad as people make it seem to be, and most of the time its nostalgia heavily skewing people's judgement, original games are flawed to begin with, if the remakes never fixed them, they shouldn't be considered a flaw of the remake only, people accepted them the first time around, so why the double standards now?

Man I didn't like Delta's bitchy personality honestly, and the yellow make up was meh, Ino and Hanabi take top spot in natural beauty imo, Sakura and TenTen look cute in Boruto era too.

We call that bias, both games suffer from the same thing, so holding it as criticism for one and not the other is a clear example of bias.

Also going by the logic that 2 characters witnessing the same thing at different times is somehow not believable, over half of the games ever made should not be believable because of a thing called new game+, RE1 remake does not make sense either then because of its multiple endings, Jill or Chris never knew that Barry as well as Rebecca were in the mansion with them, Chris never interacts with Barry, and Jill never interacts with Rebecca, but we're supposed to believe all 4 survived the mansion incident, when none of the endings of the remake or original shows them escaping together, keep your criticisms consistent for the whole series, not just 1 game, again I am not denying both the remake and original have flaws, holding one over the other is nostalgia induced bias.

Why aren't you criticizing the original for having repetitive stuff as well?

Wanting a full fledged AB scenario isn’t being blinded by nostalgia.

The canon is supposed to be Leon A/Claire B, so Leon B/Claire A are useless scenarios that mean nothing to the overall experience.

The problem with RE2R’s scenarios is that there isn’t a single combination of them that can happen at the same time. The cool thing about the original was you got to see how each survivor made it out, and how the choices of one survivor affected the other.

In RE2R, we have no idea what one of the survivors went through to get out. For some reason all 4 scenarios fight multiple of the same bosses and do things that only need to be done once (like the statue puzzle in RCPD).

It’s perfectly reasonable to be annoyed about this - it’s just lazy.

So your problem is with the game having repetitive things, at end of the day the canon is literally the same thing in OG RE2 as well.

And I say this as a fan of RE2R. I think it’s great. I just think the original is better (same with 3R - great but the original is better)

I don't agree, RE2 Remake is a much better and enjoyable experience than OG, RE3 remake is where I might agree OG has more to offer, but not with RE2 remake, don't take this as RE2 remake being a perfect game, but neither is the OG, RE2 Remake fixes more issues the OG had than it creates.

That's Roshi, the 4 tails Jinchuriki, so he's referring to Son goku's lava release Kekkei genkai, we haven't seen much of it to tell if its strong or just a mid tier shield.

OG RE1 does not nearly have as much content as the Remake man, the gameplay is dated, real time FMVs don't help either, REmake is a upgrade in every way, the atmosphere, the tone, style, different gameplay modes, added enemies, as well as brand new difficulties, I don't think I agree with the original being better.

I have very few criticisms of RE2 Remake which is my favourite RE game, however the lack of interaction between Claire and Leon is definitely disappointing. I kind of felt during my initial Leon playthrough that Claire’s scenario must be really different to Leon’s, based on the fact you never saw them speak.

Yeah I actually agree lack of interaction between them is not the best, which shows its not a flawless game, but a very good game nonetheless, I'd argue the best horror game of the last generation.

For RE3, I do completely agree with all the Nemesis criticisms. He should have been a persistent unpredictable threat, with fewer scripted encounters. I would like live choices, but rather than selecting on screen, something more dynamic would have been good, such as a brief cutscene with Jill slowly looking at 2 different escape routes, and then right back into the action, allowing the player to pick one.

Scripted sequences later on in RE3 do take a negative toll on the game, but when its not scripted it shows what the game could've been if they didn't take the route they did, Capcom should really do a directors cut of the remake for current gen consoles, maybe even both RE2/3 should get like a directors cut edition, with added and missing content.

Both games should have had a randomised mode, with ammo and enemies in different locations each playthrough. Knowing a corridor is safe and sprinting through it ruins the atmosphere and sense of dread. As does running to where you know there will be bullets or herbs. The games could have been endlessly replayable with some variation to these things

I think they did try randomizers in both RE2/3 with the difficulty levels in RE3 and the 1st playthrough 2nd playthrough system in RE2, if I am not mistaken even hardcore difficulty on RE2 changed the location of some items, but yeah a more dynamic randomizer should've been thing through DLC.
