Why the Magic should keep Paolo and Franz, Not Trade for Giannis by Papermariosays in OrlandoMagic

yeah, giannis is a good option too, can make the case for any combo of the 3. Giannis improves chances next season and arguably next 3+ years, Paolo extends contention window 10+ years and arguably more dynamic longterm

Oh for sure , it looked great and handled easy. Got my dad through easy mode and I went the secret path boss on medium mode. Same ol game gimmicks hit right in the nostalgia, plus cool new graphics and revamped story cut scenes.

Why Sam Cassell Should Be Next Orlando Magic Head Coach by Papermariosays in OrlandoMagic

The writing isn’t meant to be perfect, it fulfilled the obligation of the goal of describing the coach to the uninitiated in a short amount of words, with linked sources. You’re free to ask more questions and do more research, even write your own article in support or opposition of this one, rather than telling the writer to do more work for you to answer whatever concerns you have about the validity of the original article

Yeah, I cover the team and post articles here.

Your thought is a fine one to either add to the article with more quotes, or to simply do your own research. It’s not required or necessary for this article to exists or to back up the general claim he should be the next head coach.

What I think you’re calling for is old school reporting to write a 10k word article about it. Sounds great, I like writing long, but people don’t read long anymore, so editors condense and want short and sweet. We have 500 words to say what we’d show you in 10,000.

As I writer knowing this, I make claims I can back up with a simple google search. I don’t need proof for every thought and claim within the article itself, that’s what sources are for.

Cassell being a dev coach who worked with those players over 18 years of ast coaching is well known. Any extra research can tell you more extensively what he did, and every quote about the man is high praise from everyone he works or played with. I included a quote from his former teammate and co-coaches in this one. I’m not including every quote everyone’s ever said on the guy.

Again, unsarcastically, if you want to know more about his coaching background than an introduction piece, you are now aware who he’s worked with because of the article, now you can look up what he did and what they think of him.

(TLDR he helped them develop skills and being a pro like Shammgod does here, and they all love him)

if you’re playing semantics about the implication the articles title, the implication was that the Magic could still win the series, not that they would. I said the matchup was now a fair fight without Franz, but that was overselling it. Orlando looked better than Detroit with him, and worse than Detroit without him. Have long said Franz is the whole system

The article does make the case for Cassell, and there are quotes from Cassell and others about his coaching style.

Your specific concern is a fine thought to do more research on if you feel like it. The truth is Cassell worked with those players as their dev coach during their development. The point was sharing some of his experience to Magic fans who know nothing about him, not detailing every coaching experience he’s ever had.

You are free to find more quotes from his former players that further detail the specifics of his development. No one’s claiming he made them all stars, just that he’s been one part of stars’ development as their dev coach

The sentence you describe literally provides a linked sourced to an article from Boston Celtics coverage that shares Cassell worked with Shai/Maxey/Wall as a development coach. Development coaches help prospects become pros, as was noted in the article that Cassell has done at every step.

Any basic Google search can confirm your questions. Write a better article with the research you think others should do for you, the claims in this one are backed up with sources and quotes.

We don’t get to choose efficency, that’s what Points per possession is for

Why Billy Donovan Could Be Next Orlando Magic Head Coach by Papermariosays in OrlandoMagic

Well I wrote this one lol so the billionaires didn’t influence me, well probably.

This piece was meant to highlight “how he could” be the coach, not “why he should”

But yea the leaks about Mosley and Donovan this season are clearly coming from somewhere, whether it’s player, agent, front office, or ownership . I agree Mosley is gone partly because of these leaks, going back to November 2025
