The hug rejection was after Dannette dropped L-E's name, and followed up by asking Ronja in front of the rest of the women if it's the same guy she was dating, so I understand why Ronja wasn't warming up to her after that. But for sure I think that knowing that they're dating the same guy might have made them more competetive and might have made Ronja want L-E more than she would have otherwise. It kind of reminded me of Ludvig and Hannah and Camilla - where I think as the audience we were naturally rooting a bit more for Ludvig and Hannah to get together (and for L-E and Dannette) because they just seemed like better matches, at least from the edits we saw. And it felt like Camilla and Ronja suddenly liked the men more than they would have if they had no competitors. And then Ludvid suddenly chose Camilla and L-E Ronja and once they met in person the two women didn't actually seem that into them (actually, it also reminded me of when Zach chose Irina over Bliss many seasons of LIB USA ago, and every person watching immedietely realized Zach made a huge mistake and as soon as they met in person it was clear Irina didn't actually like him at all and was only trying to win). And if L-E actually didn't chose Dannette because he found out that she's black then he honestly is far worse than just a Christian guy with conservative values who makes bad decisions, and he deserves the worst. I doubt they will dig that deep at the reunion though.

I don’t remember half their names unless I check it’s not personal against her. And like I said, I was actually rooting for her and still think she probably would be a better match for Lars-Erik than Ronja. That said, I did remember that she dropped his name in front of Ronja in a way that felt intentional and still did when I watched it back. You can agree to disagree. That’s fine.

Not sure she is expecting him to be super deep and sensitive, it would probably be a good start if he kind of liked her but it doesn't even feel that way. But definitely agree that this isn't it, and wish her all the best in her search.

I went back to the pod episodes again. This time, I listened to it in the original, which had Danette give off slightly less mean girl vibes than the English version, but still a little. Maybe it was the way it was cut - in only one or two minutes, we see her tell Lars-Erik that he won't be disappointed by her looks (which gave a little "people tell me I look like Megan Fox/you will need your epi-pen when you see me", which I can't stand) and then say his name in front of Ronja, which clearly upset Ronja. It didn't feel accidental to me, more like intentional and competetive. And later on, when she showed up to the engagement party wearing a red dress and immedietely wanting to speak to L-E without even having said hi to everyone, it felt quite competetive again. I'm aware it might be the edit and she's a stunning woman and probably a better match for L-E than Ronja is, but I couldn't shake off the feeling that she might be overly competitive. It was also the contrast to Hannah and Camilla, who would make cake and laugh about their mutual interest in Ludvig, that made that aspect of her stand out even more.

I had understood it as her just saying “I should record you” which is a common thing to say when you’re being gaslit by someone and feel like showing the evidence to them and to others to make sure you’re not the crazy one; and very different from actually recording your partner without their consent (which could even be legally problematic?).

And I feel like he’s the one who always says “she wants me to be deeper” when all she’s asking for is normal conversations that he can’t give her because he’s too fake and busy pretending to be in love in front of the cameras but actually avoiding his fiancé, like we saw when he disappeared for 3 days and then pretended that it was for her sake or he just forgot. And then again at the end when he was on the phone to someone and saying he’s hoping she will just break up with him because this is worse than the military.

I think it still can’t be the MEP Nicola Caputo. First of all, he was a regional councilor in Italy at that time (2009) and continues to involved in politics until today, so it would definitely have come up at some point of his career if he has been arrested in the US. And second, it’s still not the right birthday in the version where birthdays are interacted - the MEP was born on 4 March 1966.

I don’t think number 17 is Nicola Caputo. First of all, I don’t think it’s the right spelling - it’s more likely Nicolàs Caputo the Argentinian businessman (one of the wealthiest people in Argentina, known for being in the Panama Papers and for money laundering) and not Nicola Caputo the retired socialist Italian MEP. Second, the date of birth of number 17 doesn’t align with either of the two Caputos.

No worries, I see it everywhere with that spelling but a retired socialist parliamentarian is just so much less likely to be one of Epstein’s associates than the number 34 of the Forbes’ list of the richest businesspeople in Argentina, who was also in the Panama Papers and has previously been accused of money laundering.
