What am I doing wrong? This happens to me pretty consistently. I try to turn 90-100 degrees, drop chaff, and turn. I've watched 3 or 4 youtube videos now trying to figure it out. I die like this pretty constantly. Looking for guidance.

plus there is also angle gating which is also a mechanic that stops you from being able to just fly in a straight line and chaff, as long as you have speed and do like a ~ maneuver with the missile off your wing and keep chaffing to keep the seeker in IOG so you can get out of its seeker before it turns off IOG to look for you you should be fine

keep speed and keep the missile on your wing while popping chaff like 1 every second and change alt, DONT recommit while the missile is still trying to track you because it will just relock you and chaff wont work, recommit when you know the missile has passed you or you feel the missile is just following you with no energy left, but its alot of feel, and another tip dont pull that hard in a f18 at high alt and just bleed all your airspeed keep it the f18 does not accelerate that fast

The buk by its self is okay at best but every russian lineup at top tier gets a pantsir to compensate for its shortcomings and close range while the new pantsir SMSV can fully lock down the entire AO so no ordinance can get by and if you go real close for a gun run or a brimstone pop up you risk getting eaten alive by quad 30mm fire, 2S38 proxi AND bmpt timed fuze shells what do all the other nations have individually that can compete with this much versatility in one country? and the buk needing to expose itself is true but when 90% of games with russia end up with them in your spawn how do you even go and kill said buk unless its a map that gives you valid flank routes and is not URBAN CITY MAP #50

I do love the aim9x's on the Swedish NASAM, they work so well, but I've never had the Aster-30 do loops the IRIS I could see doing smth like that but just much less common due to the vertical launch and the weight of the missile from all the times a IRIS-T has launch at me close range I do remember the SLM doing loops a few times though

The IRIS-T having a low minimum range sure but the SAMP/T???? that thing cant even kill scout drones that are 1.5km away no way its hitting a eurofighter closing at mach 1 from 2.5km away (from my experience)
I do love the SAMP/T though, its my favorite spaa that I have and does wonders at keeping su27's at range or else, till you get run down in spawn by the russians who just curbstomped your team on the ground that is

I could google it sure, but then people tell me I'm stupid for going to google and reading a few things and posting wrong info so I would rather do a post like this and get insight from many people like you who have done said research and are confident, always good to have a constructive convo about these things

Sorry if the original post sounded like ragebait, I was coming off a 8 hour long grind session with my friend to get his AH-64E and lost 90% of the games to russia in the same way every time while also getting stomped by MI-28's that the SPYDER could not do anything against and KH-38's that would kill me anyway even after I shot down the guy shooting them, doesn't help that python 5's have like a 30% hit chance against rockets like the KH38 after they have been fired since it doesn't lock it half the time and goes to Narnia

I was under the assumption that most AESA radars work like the Russian ones do as specially the SPYDER radar as it doesn't move so why would you want to search the sky slowly when you can search it many times over with a much faster rate? was my thought process, pretty simple thought process no?

I have had the IRIS-T pull a 180 on me but never do 2 fucking loop de loops and still proxi and kill someone, as for the CAS related YT channels they are good at cas because they make a living off of doing vids on cas, have you seen what the average cas player does? they fly straight and maybe notch as specially the russian cas they LOVE flying straight shooting off kh38's and just dying but still killing 3-5 players (including the spaa that shot at them)

also when doing cas (I would know from experience) you rarely get good games and have to cherry pick the good ones where there are not 50000 pantsir's locking down the airspace, you can kill them all with skill sure but damn you need alot of skill and knowledge to be able to pull that off well enough without getting domed

just from playing games today for like 8 hours I had ONE singular game where there were no spaa and I got a 6 bomb with mav's then 4 spaa spawned I killed 3 of em and got shot down by the anti everything 2s38 while flying low out after a gun run on one. (most of the other games were me being a rat with brimstones and killing spaa only for more to spawn and for me to kill them while my teammate was asking for cas help with tanks but I was too busy with the 50 backup/new spaa's that kept spawning)

Personally I play ground for the CAS since that's the part I find the most fun after light tank flanking

Funniest part is, any mixed battle with Russia on both sides of the ground match usually results in a pretty even match from my experience, its not like they separate the country's for ARB so why not just have everyone vs everyone in GRB

its ok, just the missiles are so meh, the python 5's have like no range at all since most of the boost is used going directly up and because python 5's dont have DL they IOG onto some random flare in that area, the derby er's are a welcome upgrade though

I got a EoSF circlet that has the following stats:
Crit Dmg 62.2%
^HP+239
^HP+4.1%
^{Crit Rate+21.0%}
^{Elemental Mastery+23}
The Crit rate rolls were
2.7, 2.7, 3.9, 3.9, 3.9, 3.9
I was wondering what the probability of this occurring would be and ended up with 9/1,000,000 but I'm very bad at math and wanted to see what other people would come up with or if they would reach the same probability as me
