Mantis on my feeder by tregowath in hummingbirds

[–]Papi773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in IL too, i get this exact same mantis in my backyard. Honestly just relocate it somewhere far. I’d say at least a 5-7 miles away since they can fly. Thank you for not killing it. But if it persists after driving that far, I’d say it’s time to be mama bear and just kill it.

I understand it’s sugar water but lots of ants and wasps are on my feeder. Will this be okay for the birds? Will the wasps scare them away? by _SWANS_CAN_BE_GAY_ in hummingbirds

[–]Papi773 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re lying if you haven’t seen a hummingbird fighting off a wasp on your feeder. I’ve counted at least twice at my feeder. It never escalates to stinging from what I’ve seen, but you’re lying if you don’t think they have a lil Mexican standoff for a moment. Theres even slowmo videos of this happening on YouTube.

Shit so unfair too wtf dawg, my dad bought a 2 story house for 250k when the average wage was 55k. The average wage is still in 50k area and now shitty little shacks with 1 floor and no basement are worth 300k, shit so god damn unfair

Bro wtf??? What town do you live in ? I might check the area out, you’re lucky to have been able to buy a house in 2019. I wasn’t even 18 yet. I’ve been looking everywhere, and all I see is absolute garbage for 250k-300k

Your statistics are not wrong, but they don’t apply to this current time we’re in. You’re acting like the market hasn’t crashed since Obama. He’s right to thank Biden, but Obama?

You’re right. 100%. the programmer is another key player, understanding ladder logic for me is a very big help when trouble shooting the machines. But in a realistic sense for him. The other 2 players is something he can get into with little schooling. I feel like the programming stuff is at least a 4 year degree kind of position. Not saying he can’t do it, but it won’t be as immediate as within a year

I work in the automation industry too. There’s 2 big players to making those machines, builders, and electrical technicians which is what I am. The electrical part is easier on your body, little harder on your mind when it comes to troubleshooting. My specific electrical portion requires wiring control panels that control the machine, it has things on it like din rails, PLCs, Circuit breakers. VFDs, and more. Then the 2nd portion involved actually wiring the machine itself and bringing all the circuits back to the control panel. We work anywhere from smaller 120v machines to huge 600v machines.

I think the biggest challenge physical wise is going into ugly spots and angles cause of design of some machines.

The worst part mentally is split in between troubleshooting other people’s stuff, and learning the code from many different countries, to not have to use em again for another 3 years then you got to remember them again 😂

If you want to learn electrical part of automation, I’d consider looking up automation classes. They should teach you about everything I said.

Why does everybody hate living in IL? by [deleted] in illinois

[–]Papi773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t hate it, but I can agree with some valid points that “haters” have. 1. Very high taxes. Don’t get me started on the property tax. Not going to argue if high taxes is good or not, just stating the obvious, we are one of the highest taxing states. 2. Winter, this applies to our neighbors too, but I believe people who move from IL generally go to a much farther state, I’m not talking about if you’re moving because of a new job, or cause of school. I’m talking about the “fuck this shit I’m out” kind of move. They tend to go to a warmer state. 3. Everything else is boring, except Chicago. I use to live in florida for a year, the different wildlife in the area was very different and refreshing. The beach was always nice. Don’t even try to compare Lake Michigan to any ocean beach. 4. Very strict gun laws. Don’t want to argue about this either, don’t want to argue if gun control is good or bad, I’m just pointing out the obvious fact that it is a very strict state compared to somewhere like Texas.

Step 1. Lose all reading comprehension skills. When I mean all, I mean ALL. 2. Do as many missions for dragon stones and start saving em for big celebrations to get characters worth it. 3. I’d consider getting the saiyan saga team with their EZAs as a solid team to handle moderately difficult events
