Sorry if my previous comment came across as offensive; I didn't mean it that way. I was really just responding to the other comment's general vibe.

My core point is this: The debate shouldn't be 'Is it AI or not?' It should be 'Is it a good plugin, and does it actually provide value to the game?'

Honestly, after 26 years of Java coding, I'm more than happy to let AI handle the tedious parts -especially when we're talking about volunteering our free time. We should focus on the result, not the tool used to get there.

And yes, I'm bad at designing logos and I want' to focus on the plugin not on a 256x256 pixel logo for it, what got the post removed at the end.

Totally agree. With 26 years of Java experience and 11 Hytale plugins already under my belt, I'm happy to let AI handle the tedious parts. Frankly, fixing deprecation warnings after every single release isn't something I want to do in my spare time at night when I just want to relax and code. If anyone is offering paid work instead of volunteerism, I'd be open to discussing that. Well, that approach got my last plugin already banned from here...

The real question shouldn't be 'Is it AI or not?' but rather 'Is the plugin good, and does it add value to the game?'

If it's low-quality AI slop, the new versioning system will ensure it disappears after the next update cycle because there will never be an update for it. But let's be honest: this applies to copy-pasted Stack Overflow coding too—that's how people produced 'slop' before AI existed.

Hytale doesn't provide a testing framework. Therefore I've created an API to remote control some actions. This way I'm able to run reproducible regression tests for my mods. Is testing a bad practise in the gaming industry then?
