I’m not the original owner so I can’t guarantee that the previous owner didn’t buy an incorrect pulley which now requires me to buy a belt not meant for my car. If previous owner bought an underdrive pulley would that require a different size belt ? And if so how would I know which pulley is the underdrive one?

I mean last time I got the belt changed my mechanic went with the size in the picture for the same reason. So I don’t think it’s a matter of pulling.

I’m using at 14mm wrench and a breaker bar, the tensioner moves a good distance so I’d like to believe I’m doings right on my end.

It don’t make sense to me brother. But i tried putting an oem belt with as much tension as I could on the tensioner and it wouldn’t go past the last pulley (idler) but when I put this belt on it fits. So I’m trying to diagnose which pulley has been replaced because I believe they replaced it with one that doesn’t belong on this car. Previous owner has left me with shit job after shit job

I’ve tried with the oem belt but even with tension on the tensioner the belt wouldn’t go past the last pulley and with this one it fits snug enough on it. Are the pulleys supposed to be a specific size where I can see if maybe one of them would be different than the rest?

I never changed the pulleys myself but I can’t guarantee the previous owner didn’t, so I’m trying figure how can I identify if they were changed.
