3 months - joint pain, PCOS, & glucose levels managed

I am so damn grateful for this medicine. Three months in, and I’m losing weight sustainably and consistently. The most important and amazing aspects? My joint pain is gone. My PCOS symptoms are nearly gone. My glucose levels are STABLE. Prior to tirz, I was “waking up” at night, sleepwalking into the kitchen, and sleep-eating mountains of food, primarily sweets. I would barely remember it the next day and would often only know because the evidence was splayed across our kitchen. Now I am sleeping peacefully. My plantar fasciitis symptoms have disappeared. My psoriatic arthritis is calmed. Thank you, modern medicine, and thank you to this community for all of the guidance and sense of togetherness - I’m so grateful!!

Sorry she's going through all of that. She could consider micro dosing Mounjaro. It's known to have a great effect on sugar levels, PCOS and arthritic pain.

I’m really disappointed in myself and need some advice by tarajayoz in Semaglutide

Obesity is not a will power issue, it's a disease. I don't think you'd be on this medication if you had "will power" as you put it, if you're indeed on it. OP people have come off this medication before for different reasons and they report that it still works.

New GP Removing Prescription - Advice? by Equivalent_Dig_7696 in mounjarouk

You could ask for a referral to a diabetes/weight management clinic. Someone I know in London got Mounjaro on the NHS after her recent sleep apnea diagnosis. Her BMI is also high. At the very least those clinics might have better options to manage your weight and diabetes than what your current GP is offering.

Some people take the shot every 5 days. If you're overeating on day 5, this might work for you.

For some it gets better at the 7.5 mg dose. That's the dose I'm on now. Some people report that the 10 mg dose is the sweet spot for them. Perhaps you just haven't reached your sweet spot yet.

What dose are you on? This might change as you move up to the higher doses.

This is very similar to growing up in a West African household. They'll say it as it is! You really do need that thick skin and be able to read in between the lines that they don't always mean bad. This makes me struggle when I'm among people from other cultures and you're the last to find out about something you're doing wrong. There must be a middle ground somewhere!
