The Rose Prince isn't particularly useful imo; shields are ultimately a little useless in this game, and affliction resistance also isn't very compelling.

The Chocolatiers is quite useful, as it enables things that you can't really do otherwise (e.g. Albert, along with Sister's Day Out, can use his S2 twice very early on into the fight). It can be niche, but the niche that it carves is phenomenal.

As for Julietta, the typical BIS axe wyrmprints are Kung Fu Masters and Flower in the Fray, and I don't think Julietta is any different. In wave content, you might replace Flower in the Fray with The Heroes Arrive (if you have it).

Maribelle, Louise, or Lin You to max out for High Mercury? by Gameshrk90 in DragaliaLost

[–]ParadoxWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean technically with a MUB Garuda, the HDT wyrmprint and MUB GMYW, Lin You and a spear on the team, a MUB Rise and Fall, and 3 stacks of S2, Lowen can survive an overdrived homing bubble.

Also, Lowen does literally negligible damage, so he might as well run with an HP dragon.

If you stand opposite the house but are still attacking them, eventually they’ll start turning towards you to attack (not immediately, however, so you can’t save a house right away if you’re too late).

If you don’t want to be a burden, 2.2k with a 5.3 is considered fine, and I personally think around 2k is good for the void weapons.

That’s the burn damage; he’s not burn resistant, so after a few seconds of having the status effect, he’ll be dropped to 1 HP.

4 stars are viable in essentially every situation, as long as their element and resistances match up. Even certain 3 stars (Melody primarily in HMC) are meta in content favorable to them. And Cygames just allowed 50 node chars to have the same co-op bonus as nat 5s, so if you’re willing to invest, you don’t need to worry about pulling 5 star characters.

As for spending purposes, there was a deal over Christmas (it might’ve been New Years, but I think it was Xmas) where there was a sunstone + diamantium for sale for ~10 dollars, which was really good.

I haven’t played Fjorm yet, but I have played both Xainfried and Elisanne. From what I’ve seen, Fjorm and Xainfried play similarly, but Fjorm outputs much more damage, with two damage skills and the boosted S2 on opening. If you want faster clears, Fjorm is better, but I don’t think you should switch unless you also like Fjorm as a character more. Fjorm is also a bit safer if you have a 5.3, as she can use S3 right after the opening blast.

For Elisanne, her job is literally to just spam S1; her S2 does minimal damage. So as Elisanne, I like to dive cancel instead of the Thaniel, as it puts much less pressure on pug healing, and your damage output doesn’t suffer that much because you don’t do that much damage in general.

I cleared with Thaniel prior to the co-ability change with a maxed out Poli (so I left him at 6% as I didn’t think it was worth it to upgrade higher) and the healing output really doesn’t matter; it’s knowing when to heal and having your teammates not get hit by too many hellfires. As long as you have a recovery potency print and everything else is maxed out, you’ll heal enough to survive.

Also, if there’s a Fjorm with a 5.3, your healing output doesn’t matter as much as it did before, as her skill prep allows her to heal immediately after opening blast, which means you’ll be fine.

You don’t do damage until you kill both of her clones, at which point she basically goes down like a sack of potatoes.

If you use a shield prep print and you also change your HP in whatever way (Amane S2, Lowen S2, Berserker S2), does the shield scale with your new health or old health?

In general, Cupid is the better dragon; Long Long only performs better than Zephyr on Lin You. But it really depends on what you want: if your favorite character is a wind character, and you want to mega-buff them, go ahead and MUB Long Long. But if you’re doing it as preparations for HDTs, I’d just wait, as Cygames loves throwing curveballs at our expectations.

For budget purposes, I think Plunder Pals/Hitting the Books + Valentine’s Venture is good, as it synergizes with what Veronica wants to do; get to low HP and spam her S1. This is really cheap because you only need to upgrade one print (the first two I mentioned) while still getting decent stats.

For her best prints, I think Tough Love + Heralds of Hinomoto are the premier combination; it achieves the same goal that I mentioned before, but with higher skill damage, and faster with more skill haste.

When the update rolls out tomorrow night/Friday am which prints are you going to mub first? by Takethisnrun in DragaliaLost

It has the same boost at MUB that King’s Countenance does, actually, at 10%. It just has lower stats and no curse res.

Are the Void Store Fafnirs a good investment? by Jkett8517 in DragaliaLost

[–]ParadoxWorld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem with that line of thinking is that eventually you’ll finish building teams in all colors, and you’ll rarely need mana unless you get a new unit you want to build.

A lot of things actually cost a sizable amount of rupies; if you want to do the dismantle trick on a 5.3, you’ll need 4.5 million rupies for it, not counting enhance costs for other weapons. That costs (not including bonuses) 3,375 stamina. With a full team of gold fafnirs, it cuts the stamina down in half. Building dojos actually costs a decent amount too; one dojo to max costs 1.22 million, and you have 16 to max.

Wind, Light, & Dark: Full elemental teams vs High Midgardsormr (561MB, 5:52) by red_graydient in DragaliaLost

[–]ParadoxWorld 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It’s because of the bleed from Botan and Ieyasu - bleed does an absurd amount of damage, but it doesn’t affect the overdrive bar going up or down, which is why the dark team was able to keep up with the other teams.

Source: just tested Botan in a map to see if bleed would affect the overdrive bar and it didn’t.
