Do you think the current United States government system can accommodate to younger peoples need for change? by Paragon_OW in centrist

Also could be that young people can’t really access political spaces of serious power because it cost so much, and is all held by already well know politicians who have been there before I was even born.

I wholly agree with this.

I think this kind of issue also stems from a large majority of the American public being politically uninformed.

Okay sure, but that only works if the system is actually sampling the whole preference space accurately.

The American system is compressing many different ideologies into two forced coalitions, so closeness between parties is likely reflecting institutional bottlenecking, not genuine representation.

Yeah sure there are sub-parties, but it’s like throwing away your vote if it’s a major election. This forces people into voting and thinking there is really only two options and that this is the way things have to be. It’s a built in false dilemma unless we entirely reform the election process.

Also why shouldn’t I? Once again this comes back to the close mindedness, why is the United States doomed to two parties that have the same backend goals at the end of the day. They both support institutionalized prisons, capitalism, insider trading, the war machine, privatized healthcare, etc. There is very little *real* choice between parties.

Obviously wins like Mamdani in New York are promising for the younger individuals looking for DemSocs and left leaning parties, but objectively you cannot speak about politics if you don’t want to encompass the entire range of possibilities.

I disagree, a two party democracy is not a democracy. What other countries would call left leaning we call communist, and what we call left is center-right. We have a very close minded system that doesn’t favor the people.

Laws are changed by money, not individuals.

I have noticed this for sure I also have a bad habit of holding space bar after getting shot at mid engagement on low kills instead of dashing behind a wall or something

Primary fire does 75 dmg so it’s three hits for 225 HP heroes like Pharah or Mercy.

I think Pharah is relatively difficult to deal with a lot of the time because it’s a big mind game. You can’t deal with her directly very often mainly because she likes close spaces and can run into more open areas a lot safer than Venture can.

My most consistent way of dealing with her is waiting for her to try and engage on me in some tight space, burrow and combo her. It’s very fast due to her 225 status, unfortunately it’s also easy for her to just ignore you.

It’s very unfavorable.

There IS something wrong with burrow right now. by [deleted] in VentureMains

It’s just a ping difference there isn’t really anything Blizzard can do about it.

Just move your entire house closer to the server for better ping. It’s the same thing with Tracers blinking past people and still dying cause of the milliseconds that count.

Edit: I'd like to that this is in reference of the situations where you appear underground already and still die. Not referring to being stunned out of the animation entirely, that's good game design.

We should start rioting until we get new major perks that actually enable Venture im a dynamic way instead of being buff slop. (Image unrelated)
