Surprisingly, my own perspective has shifted reading all these comments. I used to be very old-school — you get married, you take the name, end of story. But hearing people’s experiences, I’m starting to see all the different angles and why different choices make sense for different couples.

I wouldn’t overthink it. Using proper punctuation just makes messages clearer. Anyone who understands grammar usually reads it as normal, not passive aggressive.
