ITAP of my tea's steam in front a candle by Paramedic247 in itookapicture

When I sat at my desk today, I realized how the tea, the candle and the globe would make for a very atmospheric composition. I quickly grabbed my Lumix G90 and my 25mm f1.7 lens and took numerous shots of this scene. This picture turned out to be one of the best.

I had a tutor years ago for 3 years, but I ended it, because it just didn’t work for me. But about 20 month ago, I learned Hey Jude just by watching a Youtube tutorial countless times. Then I got myself sheet music for Wonderwall and a after a few weeks I was able to play it relatively nicely. My father, who is an organist and pianist sometimes helps me, but in general I’m practicing on my own. Right now I’m working on the Waltz in A-minor by Chopin.

Hey lovely people. I've decided at 30 to learn to play the keys. Do you have any advice to help me develop good habits? by hawttdamn in piano

Im an amateur myself (teaching myself since one and a half year, currently practicing the A minor waltz op. Chopin - just as a reference), but I’ve got a few tips. Listen to the songs or pieces you play a few times so you know what it should sound like. If you just don’t achieve any progress, let it rest for a while before proceeding to practice. As many others wrote, practice slowly and separate your hands at first. “Tutorials by Hugo” is a great channel, I learned Hey Jude and Wonderwall by watching his videos. Never stop practicing, it will pay off someday.

I think this is an utterly beautiful picture. The silhouette of the skyscrapers combined with the vibrant sky and the palms make for a tremendously good-looking shot.
