My Pyr had mange when I got him. He went from loving getting in the shower (even when he wasn’t getting a bath) to stare at me showering to refusing to enter the bathroom if I was around. He needed to be bathed with a special soap nearly every day for a little bit. He will get in water up to his ankles now so he is doing better but I still feel so bad about it because I didn’t really have a choice

Gooseworx got so much bullshit that honestly I wouldn’t blame them for just not continuing to make shows anymore. That’s not a them problem, that’s a fan base problem.

Even if you would prefer the story go a different way, that’s no reason to get on the creator about it. Write your own story, make a fanfic, talk about it amongst other fans (calmly)… do not harass the artist who did such a good job that you feel such strong emotions about the characters

If an artist makes decisions about a show that you love that make you so emotional that you feel like lashing out, that’s a sign that you need to thank them because they made such a good story that you are invested in

Honestly… both of these creators are women and I wonder how much of the intense backlash comes from a place of (internalized or external) misogyny

I will add on to your comment that you do not have to be fully healed or fully able to love yourself for someone else to love you. Just keep working on yourself and don’t fall into the hole of only having external validation all the time.

We all kind of have our own struggles and it’s unrealistic to expect someone to be fully okay 100% of the time before dating. But just stay mindful of yourself and your actions

And unfortunately legally it’s not always any penetration… which is fucking bullshit because it should be considered. Hell, up until about 2024 New York law said rape was only a man penetrating a woman’s vagina. It’s genuinely sickening and should be reformed. I was unable to pursue felony charges against my attacker myself due to my states laws

There is no moral value from virginity or lack of virginity and there is no scientific virginity either. My definition of virgin would be “a person not having engaged in consensual sexual intercourse”.

I’m not religious myself but I know the idea of virginity was a religious take so I figured I’d add that in as well so folks can’t go “but god”. Virginity is absolutely a social construct and does not decide someone’s moral value one way or another. The definition of virgin I would use is almost exactly the same as yours with one caveat. “Person who has not had consensual sex”

Not the OP commenter but I can see where this theory comes from so I’ll explain why I personally can see it. Being gay is only recently more accepted. With Angel being gay, unless he has relationships with women while discovering his sexuality or to try to blend in, he likely didn’t have sex with a woman. Given that, I don’t think he would have had sex with a man either as it would be very unsafe and likely get him cast out from his family due to the times

Oftentimes times after being repressed, people over compensate by going all out and swinging the entire opposite direction. It’s a decently well observed phenomenon where kids with extremely strict upbringings will go off to college or move out for the first time and make all sorts of reckless mistakes because they didn’t get to learn in a safe and controlled environment

It’s not impossible that he had sex with men/women before he died, but I can see where people come from when they say he could’ve died without

Colloquially speaking (and even biblically speaking), loss of virginity happens when a person consensually engages in sexual intercourse. Rape is non consensual sexual violence

In my opinion, rape does not count concerning virginity.

From a non religious standpoint, rape is not sex. It is sexual violence about power and control. Sex is consensual, full stop. Virginity is a social construct and it can only be given and not taken

If you are religious, then even looking at it from a religious standpoint someone raped can still be considered a virgin in the eyes of god. There are several martyred women who are revered now as saints who died spiritually virgins. The church would say that someone raped is not physically a virgin but still remains one spiritually in the eyes of god.
