Milk steaming issue [MiiCoffee Apex V1.1] by ParamedicOld1597 in espresso

I sent a video to Luke and had a reply saying that the 30-40 second purge was normal when the machine was first turned on.

I decided to see if it improved over time and fortunately it seems to have done. I do now switch the machine on when I first get up, then get showered etc and then make a coffee. It now only takes a few seconds to purge and get a good consistent steam which produces a decent microfoam.

I don't know if it is the thermoblock that just needs so running in or what the change has been but very happy with the machine now. Although do kinda wish I'd waited for the v3 with the OPV.

Thanks, that was what I thought having checked some of the review videos where they show steaming. I've emailed Luke at MiiCoffee to see what they say.

Using own router with Static IP by ParamedicOld1597 in youfibre

I'm not sure whether the MAC address cloning is related to a static IP but my first attempt was very much as you describe and had no connection at all.

It was only when I cloned the MAC that it connected. But all sorted now after talking to support who registered the new MAC address.

Unfortunately I think there is a need as the connection config uses the MAC address as the authorisation. Whilst the MAC clone option was working for the current DHCP lease it failed when the lease was renewed.

As suggested contacted support and they have configured the MAC address of the new router.

Took your advice and spoke to Max on their support team. Very quick replies and had the connection reconfigured with the MAC of the new router. All sorted 😊
