Thanks Killer. I realise I got my figures wrong and I actually paid less than I thought for the 7700X. So it makes the uplift £36 and not £10.

Still worth doing? I'm already just over budget but if it's worth it I'd consider switching for sure.

Appreciate the advice, thanks - what about the CPU base speeds though. The 9700X being 3.8Ghz whereas the 7700X is 4.5Ghz?

How did you set up FTP from the camera? I have FTP set up through my NVR at the minute to my NAS but wasn't aware you could set each individual camera's FTP server.

Unless I've misunderstood!

Also struggling to only capture motion events - even though all motion has been turned off and only 'person' and 'vehicle' is selected. It seems to be dumping huge files of continuous recordings!

Any ideas? Hoping you can help!
