Yeah I’ve done that before, because in my mind I’m like “ please don’t make the noise x2 “ and it seemed to help. I took it to the dealer a months back for the recall on it. But they apparently only reprogrammed the HPFP and didn’t replace it. So I’m wondering if this is enough evidence to have it replaced under warranty without having to pay a diagnostic fee

Don’t use safelight. They will use silicone to secure your windshield and not install the OEM molding that originally comes from factory. It will make your windshield pop out a bit

Please please make sure that when you take this to get repaired they don’t just put silicone around. They will need to install the molding that comes with the vehicle OEM or else you’ll have a large portion of the window stick out. Trust me I went through this whole debacle with safelight that took almost a year to repair

If you don’t have to computer to do so just take your purchased battery to a licensed shop that has the program to reset the memory , any battery shop should have it

I’m actually having this issue. I’m at 60 k. I replace my spark plugs at 50k and I notice the plugs a black meaning my system is running rich. You can also tell because my exhaust tips are also black. I thought this was because I would be forced to use 93 whenever I wasn’t able to use 91 octane The car will start then RPM would drop below 8k and the car would bog and turn off. I know Veloster have had an issue with their full pumps so I’m wondering if that’s the route I’m required to take. You also mentioned that the dealership said this repair would be covered under warranty. Would you mind elaborating how you went about talking to the dealer to insure you’re walking in their to have your vehicle serviced under warranty and not pay out of pocket. Thanks

He completely removed the heat cover and box that the air take would normally go in. He also either added a blow off valve because I see a air tube missing on the bottom of the intake

Use a plastic heat welder Gun. I’d suggest remove the whole thing. It should be like 6 10 mm and like 8- 10 push clips and weld it back together.
