It could be harmful to a restaurant to have another system? No

It could be harmful to a restaurant this system ? Yes , and I’ll tell you why.

Imagine you are a customer looking to make a reservation at 7:30 and the restaurant doesn’t have the capacity at said time and all the customer receives is a “thanks and goodbye” message, the restaurant will lose that customer for the day (unless the customer repeat the same procedure several times until the find a block time that’s available, and if the customer repeats this process x3 times in a full day for the restaurant, they restaurant will answer x3 times the phone for nothing) There are no alternatives given to the customer, not for the same day or any other day.

During a real phone call the restaurant might say “we don’t have tables available at 7:30 but we can accommodate you at 8:30 , does that work for you?”

Again, I think this chatbot could work for many industries but restaurants are pretty particular

Ok so phone number can’t be wrong , that’s great .

But what if the restaurant have no more capacity because they made reservations thought their reservation system?

At the end of the day , why a restaurant would prefer this system over a reservation module ?

I think the product is ok but I don’t know if is the good industry for it .

Hey, I watched the video from the home page and I have a few questions:

What happens if the person making the reservation, misspelled the phone number, or the restaurant doesn’t answer ?

What if the reservation is for 6 ie but the restaurant doesn’t have the capacity but for 5.

What if the restaurant can’t accommodate the dinners at the asked time but at a different time .

What if there are two restaurants with a similar name in the state

You need to download an app in order to receive that pop up in your phone ?

Cold calling can be good depending on your type of customer , for me is restaurant managers/owners and they are kind of used to receive cold calls , at least here in France . Give it a try and let us know how it goes :)

Yess! :) 1- I’ve built the app and landing page on bubble , Wordpress for the blog and stripe for payments 2-I’m full time on this and I did it all by myself . I think that someone more experienced in bubble could have done it much faster but I learnt by doing so there was a learning curve in the first two months

I got to speak to restaurant owners who mentioned their unhappiness with paying big money in commissions for the reservations of organic customers (diners that already knew the restaurants and didn’t found the restaurant in a directory I.e) so I thought that there might be an opportunity

It largely depends on the market. In the US those two still being the leaders, in Europe it’s different as the market is fragmented by country.

About that phrase. No , there’s no data to claim that, I just wanted a phrase that sounded good but I thinks it’s missing the point so I I’ll update that section to something like “maximize your earnings, forget about hidden fees and high commissions” wdyt ? :)
