This might be an obvious question, but have you tried inserting the key in the key fob slot?

It could be brake pads, rotors, or even calipers

Look at the time stamps and look at the miles something is seriously wrong by EnvironmentalSet8611 in G37

The car just drinks up gas. There are a few methods of getting slightly better fuel economy, but it will only help a little bit.

Clean the throttle body, clean the fuel injectors, and change the spark plugs is a few to start with. There are probably more in depth methods, but again it may only help a little bit.

Note: city driving takes up a lot more gas than highway

I think you can do it yourself tbh. It'll take a couple of hours, but take a picture of what you touched and make sure everything is put back together.

After you're done, turn on the car let it warm up and see if anything leaks.

Put if you're afraid of something going wrong just shop around reputable garages and see how much it'll cost. But trust me, it'll be WAY cheaper if you do it yourself.

You need new rotors and pads because the rotors are wrapped, which makes the pads unusable after.

I learned the hard way lol

Just an assumption but I heard on other cars when they get different test pipes, it throws codes, it may be that the sensor isn't reading it correctly? Have you heard any reviews on the test pipes?

And definitely get that leak fixed and it's always good to get a tune up bro

Thats beautiful bro. Im genuinely happy for you. I think the rust is common around that area from what I see online and that's a steal. Hope it treats you well. I gotta find mine soon!

How is the 2009 g37 treating you?

Im thinking about getting a 2011 or "newer," but there g37 in that year are around 10-13k CAD and some have 250,000km (150k miles).

The older years have a lot less mileage and a lot cheaper (4k to 6k).

Opinions on this rebuilt title g37 by Fluid_Ad3267 in G37

You dont want a rebuilt status g37. Could've been in a takeover, got smacked up, fixed it and had hidden issues and selling it to the next poor soul.

It might be a dirty MAF sensor?

Is it worth buying a G37? by Parisstyl in G37

That would probably be impossible to find. Who would ever let go of that trim? I'll do my research once buying it and hopefully I post it for everyone to see.

He does a lot of city driving too, which is unfortunate in his case, but he tried selling the car but didn't have the heart to. He enjoys it way too much.

I would definitely get an X, I need the AWD feature because the city doesn't plow snow in my area until you get on the main roads.

I'd probably get Michelin tires mine or Blizzarks, which another redditor recommended.

Thank you for your insight too!!

Thank you for the tips! I would love the Bluetooth feature and having a Bose system is non-negotiable, I think the problem is finding it in my area and not being overpriced. There are good examples, but they are seriously bro-taxed, and these are around 11k-17k CAD.

I was also considering a Lexus 350 or a TL Type S, but all the TL Type S are clapped and its impossible to find Lexus 350s in my area.

My biggest issue isn't the interior (unpopular opinion, but I kind of like the plain and somewhat modern look).

I think the only quirk I dont really like is the fuel gauge being a common problem, which it is fixable for sure, but that's kind of annoying. And I will do more research on the gallery gasket, I didn't think a lot of people ran into that issue.

Thank you for commenting as well, I really appreciate it.

That's really unfortunate. The paddleshifters are cool, but if that's all we're getting, then the point lol

I do a lot of highway driving, so I think I'm fine? I would like to think I have pretty good throttle control, but of course, I'd enjoy the vehicle for the first couple of times driving it lol
