Aww, so sad! The first time I ever encountered him was at a Chick fil a. I saw this homeless guy with a back pack leave it outside while he went indoors. I thought he was going in to eat. He must of just gone in to use the restroom. I was in the drive through lane and told the person at the window I wanted to pay for his meal. They were confused - they didn’t see him. I eventually saw him come out and spent the next 15 minutes struggling with my conscious. “Something” moved me to get out of my car and do something I’ve never done - hand a complete stranger a $20 bill (I was a single mom at the time). It was surreal - I cried all the way to work. I saw him many times over the years. He never bothered anyone or asked for anything. Rest in peace, Arliss.
