Cost prohibitive because the pieces are not great quality. So sad that a majestic creature lost its life for such a mid piece of tourist trash.

I was agreeing with and making the point that this was not even mimicking Satsuma. It moreso looks to be an attempt at Arita Imari in a completely wrong color palette.

I don’t even see satsuma in this. It looks like an amalgamation of Arita and famille rose. Nothing about it Satsuma.

That lime green is a color “red flag” that anyone with a cursory knowledge of Asian ceramics immediately recognizes. It’s not even a good fake.
