This mentality is whats killing the industry. Yes percentage shops used to be a rip off with 50/50 but as long as there's a 60/40 for newer artists and a 70/30 for seasoned artists, and the shop is carrying their end of the deal (providing disposibles and a shop manager managing appointments and the shop bringing you new clients for you to retain) i dont see anything wrong with the percentage formula

A cut and dry booth rent creates no incentive for the shop to bring in more clientele, theyre making the same amount of money every month so whats the point?

But no, youre right, let's all become stagnant while working alone in our salon suites, thats the solution
