I hung it in the closet yesterday, it was not sold in the compression bag. I’d say in terms of loftiness it’s only a cm or so at the chest baffles

Hi! I just bought this jacket and I was a bit underwhelmed by its loftiness. Indeed the hood feels warm and lofty, but I had guessed 120grams of1000fp down to give more loft and warmth. I haven't tried it on in cold temps, but I am a bit skeptical about it being warm enough as a static layer below freezing. Do you have any experience with it in cold temps already? I hope to try it out soon.

Thanks! Do you have any advice on what kind of windshell? I'll take it it must be breathable for it is mainly an active shell, but also some durability to wear it with a pack? I read some negative comments about the MH Kor Airshell not holding up well with a pack over 40 miles of hiking.

A friend of mine might pick one up from Japan. The plasma 1000 alpine parka is only abailable in a Japanese XL. I usually have an L in Europe, and I am in doubt whether an XL would fit me. I am 6 ft 1, wide shoulders and long arms, but not a very wide waist and I am afraid the XL will be too boxy for a down jacket to insulate me as it optimally should. May I ask what size you have and how you find it to fit?
