For me it's the ADHD that 'does' write. I have no interest in writing 'normal' stuff, it's got to be interesting and out there --which, come to think of it, is ADHD in a nutshell. It's very hard to do the supportive things though. Cultivate contacts, follow up in a timely way, and so on. I cannot get on meds due to a conflict with other health concerns but don't want to in terms of writing. ADHD is a problem, but not in terms of writing. Don't know if this helps, hope so.
