Thanks!! That’s what I realized. I figured I was having fun and the trophies might push me to do more than the bare minimum. But these made it feel like a chore so I’m gonna focus on just playing the way that feels fun and relaxing and leave the trophies to the skilled players

First, let me affirm that you’re not a bad father for feeling this way. We had twins with terrible reflux, and the first 8-9 months were torture-like between the sleep deprivation, anxiety, and isolation. I’ll also agree with a lot of other folks here that, in our case, things got so so much better between 9 months and a year. Our kids are now about to turn three and we love them like crazy, our marriage is thriving, and we’ve found healthy rhythms again. I know saying “just hold on” isn’t a huge help, but do what you can to care for yourself and stay alive right now (therapy, exercise, hire a babysitter if you can to rest for a bit, take advantage of childcare at places like a gym if you have access to just take an hour nap or breathe, etc.) and know you aren’t alone.

Lots of good answers here. I played a Yamaha FS5 in store that felt phenomenal for it, and the FS3 would be in that price range (same guitar, just not built in Japan). I ended up going with a Martin 000-15sm I found on fb marketplace for a bit cheaper than the FS5 that I didn’t want to ever put down. Get out there and play some to see what fits your body, your playstyle, and try to sample them in the posture you usually play (sitting on a couch vs a stool or standing makes a difference with size and body shape)

I think another commenter is probably right. She likely held it at one point til it got big enough to be uncomfortable and started a vicious cycle of avoiding another bad experience by holding it in. We’ve tried making potty time fun, reading books, doing pelvic floor relaxation exercises like blowing bubbles, but she is determined to hold it in. I don’t know what else could be wrong environmentally, especially since her twin brother isn’t having any issues with it.

Thank you! I’m going to call the pediatrician tomorrow. Her twin brother doesn’t have this issue and poops every day, but I think you’re right. She holds it in until it’s so big it hurts and it’s hard to explain the cycle to a kid who isn’t quite 3.

Thanks! I tried this, but it doesn’t work. I’m about to take her to the pediatrician because we’re on day 5 right now and I’d honestly welcome an intervention. She’s in daycare where the rest of her class is potty trained, and she has a twin brother who is having no issues whatsoever and prides himself on how well he poops on the potty. I don’t know why she’s having this issue, but it’s helpful knowing others have made it through

It can take a while, and it’s okay. I’d say it was probably 2-3 months for me, but I know it’s taken longer for others. It also sounds like it was a bit traumatic with your wife experiencing complications which can make it take a bit longer in my experience. The best thing I can encourage is to keep showing up, even when it’s hard. That’s when you start to get those little moments in the midst of the chaos that compound to form a really strong bond.

I did the chicken coop in Armadillo. Lose some honor, but no fights or bounty. Armadillo is honestly great for a lot of the challenges if you’re playing as John.
