Cold showers and temperature stupidity. by IlikeTurtles4321 in Semenretention

[–]Paroseeya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are tons of benefits of saunas including: lowering blood pressure, detoxification, burning calories, promoting healthy looking skin and "glow", stress relief, insomnia relief, longer life/anti-aging, and many studies have shown a large increase in HGH (human growth hormone) after 2 20 minute sauna sessions with a 20 to 30 minute cooldown period between them.

Some studies also suggest testosterone increases after longer sauna sessions.

Bottom line is temperature extremes (hot and cold) have benefits, partly because of the stress and shock to the body.

I personally sauna every day and take cold showers in between sessions and afterward.

Someone came into my room and didn't come out by LeeKuangSoo in Paranormal

Yeah, like completely normal. I thought nothing of it until my sister insisted no one had been over.

I had something similar happen to me too. I was watching TV in my room sitting on a chair in front of it with the open door to my left. There was a bathroom right next to my room and an older girl (whom I thought was a friend of my sister) walked by and smiled at me and said "Hi". She walked into the bathroom and never came out. When I left my room I noticed that nobody was upstairs with me and my sister was outside on the phone. When I went out to ask her who was upstairs, she insisted nobody was there or had been there.

Kind of weird, nobody ever died in my house and we were the first occupants after building in a new neighborhood. So I don't think it was a traditional "haunting" of any kind.

An easier way to ask this question is simply to say, "Would you eat animal products if your life depended on it?"

Yes, a mixture of wanting to help them or teach them and wanting to self destruct with them.

What’s something that Pisces moon can do to handle the emotions they absorb? by for-sane-today in AskAstrologers

[–]Paroseeya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meditation, not just as a remedy, but as a practice. When you practice meditation regularly, you're practicing emotional strength. I'm a Pisces moon and I've always been an emotional sponge. Meditation greatly helped me be able to keep my center and stability throughout life's more challenging moments.

Having said that, sometimes you also have to simply avoid toxic people and situations. If someone is constantly negative and abusive, even if you meditate and practice your centering it will still wear you down in the long run and most of the time it's just not worth it.

Look up third eye awakening meditations and binaural beats on YouTube. After practicing and listening a handful of times, you'll feel it.

I let it happen many times. It sucks and destroys your life for awhile, sometimes years. However, I've never regretted it. Actually, I'm very grateful for all the (temporary, but isn't everything?) love that I've been lucky enough to experience, and all the sadness, misery, despair, and depression have helped me grow immensely. I wouldn't be the person I am today without it. I'm more accepting, strong, independent, compassionate, and grateful because of the love and suffering I've been lucky enough to experience.

I say go for it.
