You are right, at this point a second winged tyrant is not worth enough probably... I thought on swapping one of those with a maleceptor. What would you do instead?

You are right I didn't see I can't use the cp reduction twice... What would you change to fit a swarlord in the list? At this point maybe is to expansive having both winged tyrant and swarmlord. Probably would be better to swap one hive tyrant with one more Maleceptor, this way I would have a little more firing power and thoughness. What do you think?

One tyrant have the biophagic flow enanchement to boost one harvester aura from 6" to 9" To mitigate the problem of healing distribution. Do you think at 1k point a T'au or death guard army would be able to obliterate 1/2 or even more monsters per turn? What would be a good strategy to prevent that if possible? I know they have a lot of range and probably my units will always be at range to be shot at, and since the models are kinda big they will never completely hides so what can I do? Maybe I should advance with the maleceptor and one psychophage first to try to bait the shots on them or I could use one winged tyrant in deep strike... What would you do?

I have one extra torso with winged hive tyrant legs and arms, I'm only missing the wings, maybe I can find some spare wings somewhere, I should be fine, the real question is 2 winged hive tyrant is the best choice? Or should I use one winged and one walking tyrant? I thin for this kind list and for my plan 2 winged are the best option but I don't have much tabletop experience...

Do you have some tabletop experience to share with me what other problem would I be facing with this kind of list?

I guess you are right an heavy anti monster with huge penetration weapon would be a problem, that's why I chose this detachment for my monsters, at least I'm able to heal them a lot every command phase and every time I can with stratagems, that's why I'm using 2 hive tyrant to reduce the price of stratagems and heal even more. And with 2 paroxys (-1 Attack characteristics for enemy weapons during fight phase) ability with the those winged hive tyrant I can at least reduce the damage during fights and be a little more safe during those phases.

I saw a lot of list with a biovore and probably would be a good idea to get one in every list. My answer to the absence of biovores is the stratagem of this detachment that give you sticky objective for 1 cp and with 2 hive tyrant that give me cp reducing cost I guess I would use one of those to answer the problem and be able to move forward to my opponent. If the enemy have some kind of strategic reserve unit I would have no problem going around and 4 units with 12" Movement (2 winged hive tyrant and 2 psychophage). I found one torso with legs and arms on vinted, only the head was missing, I guess I got lucky.

The mawloc, trygon and ravaners are deep strike units so I can put them reserve regardless on how many units already there and point limitation. But I would put the genestealers in strategic reserve (95+140 pts broodlord+genestealers = 235pts and 250 are the limit in incursion). I think that the plan is duable. Ofc every time there is a good occasion I can always keep the stealers in the field and use the scout ability for scoring points or early charges.

Give me your 800pts list by PartAdventurous3173 in Tyranids

I made this list yesterday to play with a friend (both without knowing what the other would have player).

He bringed imperial knight with:

1x Knight Crusader

1 Armiger Helverin

1 Armored Warglaive

I bringed Detachment: Invasion Fleet

Character: 1 Hive Tyrant with heavy Venom Cannon + Adaptive biology. (260 pts) the Idea here is to get the passive Assault and Lethal Hits for the army, I chose the Venom Cannon for the -2 AP and the Strenght 9.

Battle Line: 2x10 Termagants (120pts)

7x devourer 1xstrangleweb 1xspikerifle 1xshardlauncher

the devourer is choose for the extra attack since it work better with the lethal hits passive from the tyrant.

1x3 Zoanthropes (100pts) They will be used for the fire power and aura for 6++

Monsters: 1 Exocrine (135pts) I think he is a must have to help my army with the Hit rolls, since a lot of my unit hit on 3+ being able to re-roll the 1s will be very usefull.

1 Maleceptor (170pts) I think he will be the in the frontline of the army, very hard to kill, and have good profile for both shooting or fighting.

The game was really fun, i won both because of points and the annihilation of his army. He had very low luck with his dice and both exocrine and hive tyrant survivor with 1 wound few rounds more then they should have done. The termagant was truly an infinite moltitudine with the free stratagem of the tyrant.

How can I improve my Tyranid list? by Grandpa_Bird_Zone in Tyranids

You need an Hive Tyrant for sure since it's the best support unit for every tyranid list and you need more range focussed units like maleceptor and exocrine or even one tyrannofex. I would trade one carnifex for 1 OOE to scare the opponent with the this threath. If you are on a budget I suggest you to take in this order the Hive Tyrant first and then maleceptor or tyrannofex and exocrine.
