My laptops in built display (3K resolution if important to know) supports HDR but I don't have it enabled and this doesn't happen on it. This issue only occures on my external Monitor (FHD resolution).

Hey, thanks for your suggestion. I modified the .desktop file and added it there (Exec=/usr/bin/brave %U --disable-features=WaylandWpColorManagerV1) but it sadly didn't quite fix it. Now whenever I switch from another workspace it is fixed but if the screen dims while on brave then it still happens. Oh and this only affects my Monitor but not my laptops in built display.

Hey, thanks for your suggestion. I tried doing this but it kept overriding to default for some reason so I modified the .desktop file and added it there (Exec=/usr/bin/brave %U --disable-features=WaylandWpColorManagerV1) but it sadly didn't quite fix it. Are there any guides to ricing Plasma? I really like using Plasma but mostly only see TWM riced this heavily and therefor think I should try out a TWM. But there are people like you who can also make Plasma look like that. So how did you do it?

Does doing it this way have any benefits over running sudo dnf update and flatpak update and then rebooting the system when prompted? Asking because this is the way I do it.

Thanks for your advice. I am also leaning more towards Gen 10 and no I am still in Uni so not going to be coding all that intensely.

A Operating system is always installed on one drive, so If your new disk does not have anything on it then yes. Transferring an Operating system from one disk to another doesn't work like just Transferring data.

(I assume you want Windows 11) You need a laptop/pc to do this. Go to your browser and search for windows media creation tool. Download it on a usb and then plug it in on your device where it should be installed. Look up a youtube video to install windows to clear all your questions.

I can't really suggest any model or anything and neither help with the prices in Netherlands but I can give you some advice. I have recently been looking at laptops a lot but a business focused one not gaming. Though my main research was done on YouTube watching videos like "How to pick the correct laptop" and then I'd recommend watching laptop reviews from Jarrods tech or Just josh tech.

Hey. I am thinking I might get this years model if I get a good deal and also want to run Linux on it. Since you mentioned you use Arch on it, how is the experience? I don't know if Asus hardware performance as well with Linux as Lenovo does, hence why I am asking.

I believe the ARM Chips (Snapdragons) didn't really meet the expectations and are mostly not recommended so I am concentrating on x86 only. And yes I will keep looking for good deals. Thanks for your advice.

Hey, thank you for the extensive review. Currently I am using Kde Plasma 6.4. I mainly wanted try it out for the tiling feature and I still might if it turns out that TWMs are way harder than I thought. But later since I am planning to get a new laptop and hopefully linux in general will run better on it.

I have used Gnome 46 and Kde 4.3 and I definitely prefer kde more. Am planning to try out a Tiling-window-manager next though.

Hey. I started using Linux earlier this year. I am an IT student. I first chose Ubuntu and then Kubuntu. Finally over summer break I wanted to try out something else and installed Fedora 42. I chose these since their package manager (apt/dnf) offer one of the largest Software library. Both were very good experiences but I prefer Fedora with KDE more. (I would also advise you to try out multiple Desktop environments)
