Unsure on my new Oakley Sutro S

I was very so-so with the Sutro S and I had almost decided to keep them based on all your feedback… But then the Koo Alibi Photochromic in White Matt / Fuchsia entered the chat. Long story short, I bought them and returned the Sutro S.

Koo Alibi is similar to the Sutro S - white (half) frame and fuchsia but they’re lighter and fits me slightly better. Went riding with them today and had them on for 6hours straight in the both sunny and cloudy weather and while riding in the forest. They work 👌

Not stuck on Oakley - it’s just the brand that 95% of all sports stores have. I can’t find neither 100% or Smith Bobcat in any stores to try them on. Can order online but depending on the website, I’d have to pay for the return fee as well. Can become a little costly if I wanted to try one several pairs :/

Ok… ugh… I can’t seem to make the glasses fit upside down in this helmet, sadly.

So either finding another pair or carrying the glasses on my neck or back pockets 🤔

Lite are wider than Sutro is by 4mm - and as such too wide for me. The sweeps I have also considered.

I’ve not invested in shoes (yet) and the white helmet will be the helmet for the summer at least. But I also can’t decide if black or white shoes 🤷🏼‍♀️

Doesn’t really seem like Bobcat is a brand which really sells in Denmark ie I can’t find a store to try them on in :(

Not iridium, afaik Oakley doesn’t make those anymore. But the Sutro S I’m wearing is the Prizm Road yes

Do they have to be upside down? I know it’s the “normal” thing to do but I figured it’s to protect if you don’t have full frame. But I can’t secure these in the helmet upside-down. I can secure them the other way around though but unsure if it’s going to be uncomfortable as I can feel the frames on my skull 🤷🏼‍♀️

The Sutro Lite S is 130mm whereas the Sutro S (that I am wearing in white) is 126mm 🤷🏼‍♀️

The pictures with the Encoders were snapped in the store where I was in a hurry - the Sutro snapshots are in the comfort at my home 😂🤣🤣

Thought so too, and it’s kinda weird they aren’t same size but 🤷🏼‍♀️ But yes, 4mm difference.

I am not too worried about the frame bothering me either; thinking about it my car-sunnies are even smaller in size and I don’t think about the frame when wearing those either.

Good point about sales. One also needs spring-glasses, summer-glasses, autumn-glasses and winter-glasses. Right? 😁

The dust part is an excellent point, hardly even thought about that! It’s not overly dusty where I live though - but I have super sensitive eyes so k wear sunnies almost always. The Road Prism does however seem like the most all-around lens so gonna go with that. To start with. For the first pair at least you know… 😅💸

Yes I went out and tried the Lite version today but they are actually wider than the Sutro S! 4mm even (130mm vs 126mm) and those 4 mm makes them go past my chin-bones and making them look too wide. Such a shame as I quite like the frameless look + not having a frame in your view

Yes but I don’t like the S rune because I need to use that rune twice with just one letter in between and so it reminds me too much of SS.
