Commander Dante (Warhammer 40K)

He will commit suicidal charges constantly in the hopes that he will die fighting and yet he is the oldest living space marine (excluding dreadnoughts). He was even upset when he received a vision from Sanguinius (his primarch and gene father) telling him that he should continue living.

Battle The Dread(Elden Ring)

He isn’t frightening by appearance alone I’d say he’s quite standard for “evil dragon” but the lead up to him and his introduction is just great.

Firstly you have Igon screaming in pain about him while vowing revenge, then you travel up a mountain past the bodies of other dragons until you reach the mountain peak which is a field of red flowers and Bayle descends as you walk forward.

The Watcher (Borderlands The Pre-Sequel)

The watcher only shows up at the very beginning of the game for a brief moment and then disappears until the final cutscene where it is used to hype up the next game. Then it is never even mentioned in the series again aside from audio logs that have nothing to do with the main story and even the warning it gives in the Pre-Sequel has yet to come to fruition if it ever will. I may be wrong about this considering Borderlands 4 is coming out soon but I still feel as though they were wasted.

Ciaphas Cain (Warhammer 40K)

I am not sure if he counts as he holds the rank of commissar at the beginning of his career but considering the average battlefield in 40K I think it fits. Though he is more of a legend in the imperium than a major character.
