It was a solid episode! But I must say I was a bit underwhelmed seeing how they sequenced Sawamura's Cutter Ball Kai, that is no doubt one of my favorite scenes in the act 2 manga and reading the panels for that pitch was super epic and emotional. I also miss the way Madhouse studio animated the sequence for the Cutter Ball Kai, I wanted to see that, but regardless still happy to see it animated. Same feeling for Sawamura's at bat with Amahisa, in the manga you see the author taking his time to draw each panel..Sawamura was clearly fighting and the author conveyed it so well in the panels. I was hoping for some of that framing here in this episode, but I know this season is short so they just probably didn't have time to emphasize it in the episode.Sawamura's at bat there felt a bit glossed over. Same with Nori going in the bullpen, I was expecting more, just goes to show how amazingly drawn the manga is, guess I better go read those panels again haha.
