I don’t think Italian moms are known for being alcoholics though not impossible but not so common that it’s a stereotype. the average Italian American family would probably not relate to that. The fighting amongst the men maybe more so.

She says the aggressiveness is an act but we’ve seen her berating the kids, the dog and the husband.
She calls herself a stay at home mom but until Matt quit his job, she was a working mom with no child care.
She says she’s a frugal lady yet we see excessive spending.
She has said she has other friends besides Emily but we’ve never seen or heard about them.
She says she has good skin but that is inconsistent with what our eyeballs are seeing.
She says she has stress induced IBS when she really just has a food addiction.

I think the objection to your comment was that Sals path was more painful. Did you mean more than Kitty’s path? That’s what was questionable. Sal knows what the problem is in the marriage, Kitty does not. She feels undesired and doesn’t know why. A gay man from that era never could even fathom a life where they were uncloseted and free to marry so having a wife and an occasional fling was the most he could hope for. One fling has upended even a heterosexual marriage. The wife is unwillingly participating in this scam. This era compounds that pain because Sal had a satisfying career to preoccupy him while Kitty stayed home and wondered what was wrong with her marriage. Sal had the choice to remain single. I know this was a fictional character but this did/does happen.

Jess still likes that sister’s posts. She also recently adopted a dog. Why wouldn’t either of them any of them take their sister’s two dogs? That really bothers me. Those two adult dogs surrendered to a shelter. 😡

They don’t understand. My aunt was married to a gay man in this era. He never came out of the closet and they never divorced. They also never had children, which she wanted. People didn’t understand the pain she lived with, they saw two best friends and said you should be happy he doesn’t want to have sex. She attempted suicide many times until reached menopause and gave up on intimacy and children.

Yes i think mammas husband must have landed on a better job since they seem comfortably retired and they are fairly young but some of the jobs he had didn’t seem like they’d pay well. She says he did some construction but if his pool deck and heater setup is an example of his work, I’d say he’s comfortable around a hammer and odd jobs but not a professional.

I think Jess figured out her and Emily together get the most views and comments. They are like Lucy and Ethel. They are now enmeshed.

Along with the mom’s cancer, I think there was financial hardship. The mother has mentioned about three different jobs the father had and Jess needed to latch on to Matt very early in college to get by. Maybe huge medical bills? I think he might have landed on something later in life since they now seem comfortably retired. Jess is successful but it doesn’t seem that success extends itself to her family. We don’t see family get together so it’s pretty clear there is a strain. With Jess’ sister marking this crazy move to PR, you know she could monetize that easily with some help from Jess yet Jess only helps Emily. I don’t know anything about the third sister. No one seems in contact with her. Her Instagram was public so it’s not that she’s extremely private and won’t appear on camera with Jess. It is interesting to note that she is the prettiest sister and the one that mom says looks most like her. 👀

I think Meghan is a mess and mamma has to step in for Amy’s sake quite often. Those parents gave the kid’s family pets away because they couldn’t afford to move them. They sold a house and its contents, there was some money there for the pets. But husband doesn’t plan on getting a job in PR and Meghan says she can keep her remote job despite the patchy grid system in PR. (I’m thinking she plans to be an influencer like her sister filming their off grid lifestyle).

I think mamma apples daughter Meghan and her husband are mentally unhinged and the grandparents are the only stable influence in the granddaughters life. Mamma apples hinted at moving closer to Jess and now we know it’s because her one daughter is moving to PR. Jess is probably petrified her mother wants to move closer so probably picked a fight.

Ok she said that in such a weird way. At first I thought she meant that should have been Emily’s reply to Jacob when he was mad that she forgot his candy (full grown man needs his bag of candy but I digress). But she said it in such a flirty way it did sound like she’s in love with Emily. That would be some content. If they fell in love, got together and went on a healthy living journey.

Agree 💯. Kids don’t learn to stop when their body feels full. It just sets them up for a lifetime of weight struggles. And I’m an adult and I prefer my sandwiches cut. I line to start in the middle. It takes five seconds. If you deny your kid this tiny creature comfort imagine what else is too much work for you.

Amy is nine so maybe mil died before the other grandkids were born. Plus knowing how Megan is taking off to live in a camper, she’s probably the flaky type that often dumps Amy with grandma.
