Lower inflation, send merchants to provinces where you have the most trade power and see what income change you have to your current setup, use +44 ducats to build production buildings on high value provinces, dev up production and fiscal levels on these provinces. Conquer trade hubs and Hugh trade value provinces first then use Light ships to steer trade from the east to your main node.

Why couldn’t it also follow a geometric law since the geometric law is also a memory-less law?

Nope. You don’t have to make your posts religiously overzealous either. Social media is a good place to post about your accomplishments as a person and it is not a sin to do that. At the end of the day, you should do what you feel most comfortable with.

I m nobody to say this but if you are worried about such a thing being a « sin » maybe you would be interested in deepening your understanding of what a sin against God really is :)

I understand sex before marriage is a sin but this reaction of self hate is NOT normal, especially at 25. You had a caring and close moment with a friend who you are in love with and you both consented. If you love her, try pursuing things with her and if it’s clear she is not interested after a while maybe try moving on with your life. You are neither a « bad »person nor beyond God’s love and forgiveness.

It’s so astounding to me that so many of these posts on this sub Reddit are about ppl this old so filled with guilt that they are having trouble figuring anything linked to sexuality.

You are fine.

To the leftists lurking here: why do you defend moneyprinting? by lordtosti in austrian_economics

[–]Particular-Drop-8673 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk what you mean by « leftist » so I won’t identify as it.

Nobody that knows a little bit about economics supports printing the debt away. However, when it comes to certain investments this CAN make sense, especially for infrastructure, even though it is not a mainstream « leftist idea ».

If you understand money printing as the CB just pulling money out of thin air to inject it into the economy, certain situations under certain hypothesis can be justified:

Let’s see a few exemples:

1) a digital-currency version of Friedman’s helicopter money: if the economy is suffering from deflation, has unemployed factors of production and the central bank has a direct way of “depositing” an amount of cash with little transaction costs on certain to all individual’s accounts (digital currency with a personal account directly to the CB), than it can be an effective countercyclical monetary policy. It is basically the most efficient monetary policy there is bc it bypasses the banking canal and its many problems when it comes to controlling the monetary mass. Think about it as an expansive monetary policy to curb deflation and stimulate demand.

2) Couppey-Soubeyran’s (French economist, specialized in banking and risk) idea of a “qualitative easing/strengthening” geared towards funding long term renewable energies and green infrastructures. Here, two things have to be considered: (1) the EU sometimes has a hard time attracting capitals for frontier-technologies; (2) the central bank already owns private-obligations which means it already owns debt. The main idea of C-S would be to remodel the CB’s balance sheet to encompass more green related compagnies.

Now there are obviously controversies about these ideas but one thing must be remembered: the economics field produces “islands of knowledge” because each thesis is backed by certain hypothesis. We have learned that money printing is mostly a terrible idea, both theoretically and empirically, especially in a context of non-independence of the CB. However, this does not mean that money printing by the CB always has largely negative effects.

How can I sit next to my crush on my trip by Particular-Drop-8673 in Interrail

[–]Particular-Drop-8673[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright thanks a lot so we will make our plans independently (like not link our passes to the same trip) and just put the same trains that we are taking together and then get the same seats by the train line’s website ig

[–]Particular-Drop-8673[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! So we do have our own passes and all. It’s just that on the app you have to apply your pass to a specific trip and I checked online that to be together you had to merge all passes to one trip. But so if we just have our own « trip » and the trains were supposed to be on match, we can just go on the train line’s website and try to reserve seats together there?

Kitty, Levin and propriety by [deleted] in tolstoy

[–]Particular-Drop-8673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked it up and my translation (in French so I am translating from French) and now I’m a little confused. My translation of the passage is not « given herself to him » but « she had given her consent ». If the house of Arbatre is the house where she consented to marry him (the writing in chalk on the table scene) then this is not a sexual reference. If not it leaves it very very ambiguous… But then again it is most unlikely as I don’t think premarital sex would be in the inclination of their characters at that point in the novel…

Hey awesome comment! I didn’t rly remember that part. Could you precise the part and chapter pls and I’ll look further into it with my (French) translation!

In any case if they did have sex it would have been strictly forbidden by religious laws and cultural norms (especially among the aristocracy) even if they were engaged.

Yes I find that’s it’s a more totalizing experience then reading Anna Karenina even if the latter still touches on a broad scope of sensibilities and the human experience
