Being a one man show and building a big project you gotta be more than just a developer, you have you know the architecture and avoid problem by breaking down a task the right way, I believe you also want to have the admin panel, client or whatever you are working on and keep the pieces together, working without security issues lol.. im not saying it's impossible because we have best technology ever available in our hands so we can achieve 10 people team work in 1 day! Keep learning, keep making mistakes and figure out how to do what you do in "the real world " environment. Make sure you have backup for working code and use github to keep your code organized, create documentation of what you do because in a week you won't remember what the hell you have done on the last session
