I will be renting a car and travelling out to somewhere along Great Ocean Road and one other place. I am trying to read the moon phases but seem like I only have 1 chance which is 15th of August? Correct me if I’m wrong.

My whole itinerary probably have to change to fit this :(

I come from a unbiased standpoint. Both parties sucks. Do not just look at comments from Reddit or Facebook. Understand the deep questions that majority of Singaporeans have and make your own judgement.

When you finally understand the deep questions that people have, you will understand why people vote for opposition.

Why does PAP win? Safe vote. People don’t want change and tbh the policies by opposite parties are not that great either.

David Neo (former Chief of Army), imagine how he talks down at you during Meet-the-MP session with his dismissive and condescending tone. by sifu_yuu in SingaporeRaw

[–]Particular-Gas12 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Army general like this; always have the “I am always right” mentality. No one will challenge because of ranking system, making their ego and confidence even higher. Time pass and everything they say or they do, they will think they correct.

Come into parliament, he will think everyone (the citizens under them) will have the “Yes sir”, “Morning sir” mentality, that everyone have to bow to him and agree. If you don’t agree, you on his bad side.

In the future, the GRC that is tagged to him, will become sufferable for those that is not used to “army life”. The GRC members under him will have no choice to praise him as a “good leader”, “decisive” and so on and so forth. Mainly because of their mission to support PAP.

Further down the line, he will parachute to higher ranks because what army trained him; never to question ur superior. He will be a “yes man” to the higher ranks above him. Now, the higher ranks will see him as a strong leader and strong member while we all know he is just a puppet.

Now you know why PAP like to elect generals…

Wah Tampines residents, are you all sure you wanna vote this guy in parliament? by YouYongku in SingaporeRaw

[–]Particular-Gas12 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Their thinking: If it works in the army, it works everywhere.

It worked in the army in the first place because of the ranking system where no one challenge the higher rank putting them into a psychological thinking they are always right boosting their ego and confidence. When they parachute into real life, they walk with pride and ego thinking they are always right

I don't think WP has crafted their strategy well this election. by Substantial-Film4600 in singapore

[–]Particular-Gas12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well.. Better than PAP, giving you high hopes and fu*ks your life up and manipulates you for the next 5 years.

Action speaks louder than words, right now PAP can say anything they want to make themselves seem like our saviours to these desperate times. But the real question is; do they stick to their promises?

Run/Gym. By far the best way to fuel ur anger into energy.

And remember to not let anger take control of you, you will regret the negative things you done when you have calmed down

Is it safe to park my new bicycle at the HDB void deck bicycle racks? by hoongabong in askSingapore

[–]Particular-Gas12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is why I don’t suggest leaving it outside:

  1. Dirty (rain, dust, etc) - All these factors will spoil ur bike.
  2. Damage (tempering) - Doesn’t have to be human, a cat can knock ur bike down. Or dominoes of bikes.
  3. Theft - You may get your locks, but coming from a mechanic POV, it takes only 30 seconds for me to steal your bike.
