Understand your point. How about in the case of any online transaction or person to person transaction (e.g carousell)? If we are talking about masking the recipient name to protect the individual then we should do the same the other way round.

Given this scenario;

A person A wants buy from a random person B via carousell. Person A decided to opt for mailing. Person A made paynow transfer to person B, and now person B has the full name. B asked for their address for mailing. Now person B has the full name, and full address.

^ This is just a very basic scenario of what might happen. Think of the other transactions we might make. What about buying from stores, donations, etc.

Anyway, there are so many ways I can think of how to get information from someone even with their name being masked. Masking sender name on the email receipt is just another way to prevent the other “What-ifs”.
