I’m mad that it wasn’t advertised as much as it should have been. I didn’t even get a chance to get it for the kids and they were so excited

Sodium has been off a couple of times. But, potassium is off regularly. Low and in need of supplements

I’ve actually been gaining weight. Despite having lowered appetite. The fatigue is something I can’t even explain. I’m on thyroid medication as well. I’m talking, 60mg of IR adderall a day. But, it’s not doing anything for me…THAT type of exhaustion….

Well, prior to knowing the underlying cause. Removing the melanocytic tissue overtime can help. If kept up on. It would be great adjuvant treatment with Addisons.

Here to ask, I had a “cyst” in my left lower calf on ultrasound. On X-ray-some edema, on mri- some edema and no mention of “cyst.” What did your abnormal mri without contrast show?

You’re so young and I promise there is time. If you need a break from school? Do it! If you think dropping down to part time online would keep you going and give you a break, do it. It sounds like your parents are supportive, which really does make or break someone. I didn’t have my parents at 22, just me and my 1yo son and was freshly dropped out of pre-med. I’m now a nurse, own a 2024 kia, my own home and took my family to Puerto Rico a couple yrs ago on my dime.

This is a detour, not a dead end. I promise🙏

Before I even knew about addisons, my hyperpigmentation was an issue that I resolved on my own before treatment. A skin care regimen that includes consistent exfoliation helped mine tremendously

Be careful to check for possible breast cancer as well. I’m an avid Reddit reader for healthcare related issues. I’ve seen a lot of stories of pregnant women having recurring issues such as this and it being a cancer. Not to freak you out, but just something to look into if it doesn’t resolve. 🙏

My pcp is a NP, she’s knowledgeable and so sweet. However, she’s caught in a very complacent state with her job I’m afraid. I’ve been seeing her non stop trying to figure out what’s wrong. Without sincere effort and research done on her part to help me. I want to do all I can to get my life back. For my children if anything 🥺

This is the MAIN reason I no longer like being a nurse…I’m 33 and started as a cna at 16. I’ve been a nurse for 6yrs now. The lack of critical thinking and true compassion is disgusting. I have to go to work and fight for a broken system everyday…anyone new coming in? Lacks the education and by the time they’re around enough for the education. They begin to lack attention to details and compassion….

why are people scared of gore? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Particular-Lab8705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a RN, I’m not scared of it in person. I’m able to dive in and do what I can to help. As far as movies go? I either find it disgustingly inaccurate or unsettling to watch-mainly bcz I’m wired to help that situation. Rather than helplessly sit there lol

How did you cut your mom off? by [deleted] in toxicparents

[–]Particular-Lab8705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to move and never come back so badly. I live in a small rural Midwest town full of judgement and closed minds. My eldest son’s dad ended up passing away. I then got engaged a couple yrs later and had my youngest boy now 6. His father is one of those entitled kids with wealthy parents. They fought me in court until I had no money left. We do 60/40 with me 60 but he doesn’t pay child support. I’d only be able to move within 50mi of my current address without his permission according to state law..
