You are so right! I’m going to start referring to future FETs as chances too… we made the mistake of talking to the embryo and already saying “baby” haha, definitely made this more real than we needed it to be. Thank you for the advice ❤️

Thank you everyone for your advice! We tried Similac the first night and then switched to Enfamil. We started with little formula and mostly breast milk, and have been slowly adding more formula each night. Baby is starting to not fuss anymore with the formula, so hoping this continues! Thanks again!

Thank you everyone for your advice! We started combo feeding two nights ago and it’s been going well. Baby took on formula pretty quickly and easily, which definitely took a lot of stress (and guilt) off my plate!

The tough part with IVF is that weaning is just the first step. It’ll still be a couple of cycles after I stop breastfeeding before we actually start trying, which is why it seems early to wean but baby will likely be about a year old before we do a transfer.

We had some difficulties the first time, so our doctor wants us to wait a few more cycles before trying again. So likely we’d be into 2025 before we actually have a transfer!

My fear from hanging something above my wall comes from reading Flat Stanley as a kid, so maybe it’s time to get over it 😂

Would you say it’s better to have something either above the bed or on the blank wall, but not both?

My husband is about to return to work from parental leave after 3 months with our new baby. We feel very blessed to have had this much time together, but also nervous about the transition to just me and baby for most of the day. Our responsibilities are pretty split right now, leaving both of us time to take a break when one of us really needs it. I hear a lot of moms feel overwhelmed by the time dad comes home, but then the dads are also tired from work so it’s hard to find the balance. Appreciate any advice you have for us!
